At one time I would have said only white. But now that I am older, I say it depends on the piece. Some pieces look better in yellow, others look better in white.
Definitely platinum. I like the look of white gold and some of my earlier jewelry is white gold but I had a problem with my rings. They kept turning back to yellow. I don't know if I have a higher chemical seething or what but it would drive me crazy. The kept having to redip it. My DH's wedding band is white gold and he has never had any issue.

This is me. My wedding ring is yellow gold and platinum and I really love it. I was never a gold person until I met DH. He is NA and gold looks good on him.
White gold for sure... yellow seems dated to me, just like white will seem dated to our kids I'm sure, haha.
Funny you say that. My mom's ring was white gold and when I was a kid I thought she had a silver ring until she explained it was white gold. I remember thinking " Meh, that doesn't look like gold."
Depends on the piece for me. My engagement ring is white gold and blue topaz (but I only wear it for special occasions now) and when I finally get a serious wedding ring (we had novelty ones due to jeweler issues) it'll probably be white gold. I wear yellow gold pieces from time to time, though.
My engagement and wedding rings are white gold, and now I regret it. I used to wear a lot of silver at that time (nobody wears platinum in Peru). I wear a lot of yellow gold now (not like Mr. T, I mean I have a lot of pieces in yellow gold).
I hate to mix gold and silver (not only with jewelry, but belt buckles, and purse hardware), and I think my rings now clash with my favorite jewelry.
My engagement ring and wedding band are platinum. I have always been a platinum girl. But my mom got me a ring for my 1st Mother's Day that has DD1's birthstone and the setting is yellow gold. I absolutely adore it! TBH, there is a gorgeous piece of jewelry I have seen on Pinterest with a rose gold setting and a peach stone that I am sort of obsessed with. So I guess my tastes have evolved over the years.
White gold, but I do have a couple of pieces of costume jewelry in yellow.

White gold or platinum! I do have a rose gold necklace that I love. I just can't get myself to like yellow gold, no matter the piece. I just think "this would look sooo much better in white gold"
I have never liked yellow gold too much but it is starting to grow on me more and more. I much prefer white gold or platinum and really like rose gold. I guess it all depends on the piece.

White, but I can't wear it. Something about my body chemistry turns it to different colors. I have a couple white gold rings replayed in nickel. My wedding and engagement rings are platinum.
I think either can look lovely, but my personal preference is white gold....engagement ring and wedding band are white gold with little diamonds around the bands. DH, on the other hand, really wanted a yellow gold wedding band so our rings don't match at all. I don't think it's a big deal, though.
I like both. My engagement ring is yellow gold and my wedding band is platinum. People used to comment all of the time. I have a lot of both "colors" of jewelry and liked the idea of my rings matching everything.

I'm the odd one, I guess. I like yellow gold.
