1. How much weight did you lose in the first week post partum? I gained about 45 lbs total and lost 20 lbs the first week.
2. If you did get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, how long did it take you after the baby was born? I didn't really try to lose the rest of the weight until DD1 was 7 months old at which point was I still 14 lbs up, but I kicked my exercise and diet into high gear at 7 months PP, and lost the 14 lbs by 9 months PP.
Well, I'm not the norm as I can say that I really didn't try to lose the weight. I can't remember how much I lost during the first week but it took me 5 years to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Actually at one point I was 20lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight. Until then, I just used the excuse "I just had a baby!" That didn't seem to work very well with a 5 year old so I worked my butt off to lose the weight. I did gain over 50lbs with DD and vowed not to gain that much with this LO.
1. Honestly I don't remember. I retained a TON of water from being hooked up to an IV for like 3 days straight and I was really swollen for about two weeks.
2. By 9 months PP I was not only wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans but I think I looked like I did PP when I had clothes on. Now once those clothes were off I did not look the same. I think at that point I was still 5 or so pounds above where I started and I never lost that last 5 pounds before getting pregnant again. I gained 45 pounds the first time, I am hoping to keep it closer to 30-35 this time so it is not as difficult to get down to my goal weight.
It took about 4-5 months until I really felt OK back in my prepregnancy clothes again. Even though my weight was the same, and lower (over the year PP I lost another 30) my shape was different than it had been before.

1. How much weight did you lose in the first week post partum? None! I had very bad pre-e and cane home more swollen and weighing that same as when i went in, over the next few weeks i lost ab 20 of the 27 i gained.
2. If you did get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, how long did it take you after the baby was born? I only had another 7 to get back tonper pregnancy weight, but i gad gained 15 from my 2 rounds of IVF, i worked gard for ab 6 months and lost nothing, then was told some nursing moms can lose until after you stop, so i waited and weaned at a year to get pregnant again, and in the 3 months it took i lost all 27lbs... Go me! Lol
Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses.... All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!
I weighed myself the day I came home from the hospital (3 days PP) and I was down 11 lbs. I didn't weigh myself again until 2 weeks PP and I waa down 21 lbs at that point.
I gained 53 lbs with DS1 and I lost about 33 in the first 3 months. Took me almost another year to lose the remaining 20 but I did eventually lose it.
Much easier to lose the weight with #1 than #2 for me. Plus even once I lost the weight (I weight less now than pre-kids), my body looks different and not in a good way. Kids can eff you up...
I don't remember how much I lost immediately but I didn't look pregnant after the first day. I gained 25 the first time and 30 the second. By about a month to 6 weeks I was pretty much back to normal - aside from needing some toning
I gained 12 pounds during my pregnancy. I guess I lost all of that at birth, or most of it thanks to IV fluids and water retention. I still looked pregnant for a week or two afterward. At my six week check up I had lost 36 pounds since delivery. Despite being 24 pounds below pre-pregnancy weight some of my pre-baby clothes didn't fit right, especially through the hips.
My experience was pretty unusual b/c I started out my pregnancy significantly overweight.
I think I lost about 20 lbs within the first week. 9-1/2 of that was baby. By 3 weeks PP I'd lost all my pregnancy weight (30 lbs) plus an additional 10 lbs.
But I was plus size to begin with, retained a ton of fluid, and had PPD that made me lose my appetite.

I gained 30 pounds and lost it in about a month. I fit in some prepregnancy clothes by that time but not all. I had to buy new shirts because I gained two cup sizes breastfeeding.
ETA: I didn't do anything to lose weight other than attempt to eat healthier foods (not always successful). I eat more now than ever before. I'm one of the lucky ones who loses weight while breastfeeding.

I gained 60+ and lost 25# by my two week appointment. I'm 3 months out and still have about 15 to go to pp weight; however, I would like to lose 25-30# to be where I want to be. Strange enough, I have fit into my pp jeans for about the last month.
I lost 20lbs after having my daughter. I had gained almost 50lbs. She was 10.13lbs.
I had that extra 5lbs hanging around until about 3 months when I started really working out again. At around 10mo PP I was -10lbs pre pregnancy, due to stress/no sleep, and my daughter got 8 teeth in 2 months.
The weight can come off quick, so don't worry to much, breastfeeding takes a lot out of you. Good luck.
I lost 27 pounds the first week and it took me about a year to get the rest off. I gained 70 pounds though. By the time I felt good in my PP clothes we started trying for baby 2.
I gained about 40 lbs total (weighed 170 at the end of first pregnancy) then got down to 145 within a month. I stayed at 145 until I got pregnant with baby #2 6 months later.

Gained 30 total.
It took me 3-4 months to lose the rest.
However, my experience may not be yours. Weight loss is incredibly variable.
