I figured that I would finally introduce myself now that I'm feeling better about this LO sticking around. I'm 30, DH is 29 and this will be our first child. I work in a lab doing cardiology research and DH is a graphic designer who's commute consists of rolling out of bed and walking downstairs. We do have two fur baby dog rescues, Sprocket (4 year old pitt/pointer mix) and Gadget (5 month old pointer/st Bernard mix). We definitely like out big mutts
I had a MMC this past October that was discovered at my 10w appointment, so I've spent the first 12 weeks of this pregnancy being a little anxious. Our NT scan this past Monday looked perfectly normal so I'm finally starting to calm down a bit. Now I'm just trying to hold out until next Thursday to finally tell my family we're expecting since I thought it would be a nice surprise to tell them in person (we live 1000 miles away)
I'm just going to add that my husband is pretty freaking awesome. Couldn't figure out what I wanted for dinner last night and after almost an hour of nothing sounding good and almost crying because I was so hungry he finally asked if I would like him to run to the store so he could make me tacos. So tacos happened and all was right in my world. I know you girls like your tacos too
Re: Intro of a long time lurker
I've had two miscarriages prior to this pregnancy, so I can definitely understand where you are coming from. I waited until we saw the HB to introduce myself here, and finally shared the news with our family and friends after a great NT scan. Miscarriage really sucks the fun out of future pregnancies :-/
