Surprising traits LO inherited

Now that our babies are real little people now, are there some traits or features that LO inherited that have surprised you?

    DS1 likes to sleep with his head all the way up into the headboard, just like me. He constantly crawls up the bed until he can't anymore. I'm the same. He also needs to eat right when he wakes up like I do. 

    DS2 has a birthmark that is the exact shape and coloring as mine. His is just on his arm, while mine is on my leg.

    Actually I'm surprised at how much she looks like MH, even from the moment she came out she's a cuter little duplicate of him with the chubby cheeks, but she got my eye shape. She's like me with her personality in that she's pretty shy until she gets to know someone, she gives the most dubious looks to people when she first meets them, and she's really a snuggle bunny.

    Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.

    I am surprized that she is so tall. Like way off the charts tall. Both me and my DH are not tall, so I have no idea where did she get this height, but I am kind of proud my girl is the tallest, lol.

    Dh and I each have our mini-me's, personality-wise and mostly physically too.  Liam is the life of the party - outgoing and friendly like DH.  Emma is more observant and quiet, like me.  Not sure where Emma got her curly hair from though. It also surprises me how sensitive and empathetic Liam is (like my DH).  If he sees anyone crying or sad, most times he will get a pouty face too and want to cry. He makes the same pouty face as my DH too.

    DD is very strong willed like me and she is a morning person like me. As a toddler, I wasn't afraid of people at all and was very social, she is the same way.  My mom told me I was a late walker and I just wasn't eager to do it because I just didn't care. Lol. DD is the same way, she has hit most of her milestones late just taking her time because she does not appear to be in a rush about anything.

    Dagny loves books just like me. She loved to sit and read by herself or be read to. She also is miss independent like me - she wants to do things herself. She has my H's smile and sense of humor though I think - one of her friends fell off a toy yesterday and she just started giggling. Sigh.

    She's a morning person and always wakes up happy like me (most days!) and she is a cuddlebug which I think she gets from H :)

    Kellen definitely inherited MH's charming, charismatic, and super outgoing traits! He also hates to be dirty (also just like MH). I mean don't get me wrong, he loves to play in the mud, but if his hands are dirty after he eats he says "uh oh" and requires I either wash them or give him a rag to wipe them down. He is also super hyper and inquisitive. The hyper is from me and the inquisitive is definitely from MH.

    The MOST suprising would have to be the cleanliness. He loves cleaning. He has to throw everything in the trash and put shoes, cups, clothes, etc in their proper place. He loves sweeping, wiping things up, and vaccuming too! I hope it lasts!

    It is so cool to read all of the different traits our LOs inherited.

    Chloe is not a morning person (like me; we like our beauty rest)
    She is very tidy and hates to be dirty (I think my OCD has rubbed off on her)
    She loves food (both H and I love food)
    She loves to groom herself, including biting her nails, which drives me nuts! (I guess you can say I spend a good amount of time in the bathroom)
    She is super loving/giving and loves animals (both H and I are this way)
    She is miss independent and loves things NOW! (I won't say who she takes after!)
    She looks just like my H, except, she got my nice hazel eyes, which others always comment on (although her eyelashes are WAY longer and prettier than mine.)

    We are truly blessed with a good baby that has traits from both of us. :)
