Piddle Pad?

We have B in Huggies Overnight diapers and its hit or miss if he pees through or not. The last few nights, soaked through. I know one problem is his expectation of water every night before bed. We're going to start nixing that but is there a pad I can put down and just throw that in the washer if he pees through? I'm tired of stripping the bed every morning. TIA

Have you tried putting the diaper on backwards? Someone suggested that to me a while back. It worked pretty well.

I have not. I tried 2 diapers, one backward and that didn't work. It can't hurt! I'll try that tonight! Thanks!
ETA: Do you think this would still work if he's a stomach sleeper? He's always on his stomach and that's the first place that gets wet when he pees. All up the front.

You can try a sheet saver? https://www.toysrus.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=17428626
Personally we limit liquids at dinner time. To much milk or water at dinner is the only time she pees the bed.

That is kind of what I'm looking for. Thanks. I realize we need to limit liquids because I'm sure that's the issue. Usually just before dinner and after DH and DS play so I know he's thirsty but we'll just have the figure out a way to eliminate/reduce the amount he gets. Kid would drink water/milk all day if he could.

Finn sleeps on his stomach too. I haven't tried this recently so I'm not sure if it would work still :)

You could try trainer underwear over his diaper too.

I've seen those. That's a great idea too. Thanks.

What about trying a different diaper? Luvs always work great for me overnight.
They worked great for a bit and I think he's been drinking more toward bedtime that's the problem. When he was younger the LUVS didn't fit him right but it might be worth a shot if the other suggestions don't pan out. Thanks!

  • have you tried going up a size?  Em is only 21 pounds but solidly in 5 for huggies over nights.

My g/f used thirsties cloth diaper cover and my other g/f uses plastic pants

He fits the 5's perfectly. I was using 6's in regular diapers before we switched to the overnight diapers and with the weight on them I didn't want to go up a size.

  • well something to keep in mind - I fought it to fives too because she's been in fives since she was 18 pounds and the weight I think starts at like 24?  but it worked :)
