Sharing just in case...

Hi Ladies! I thought I would share the difference in the two back to back cycles (both freeze-all due to premature luteinization) just in case the supplements I had taken actually made a difference. I am 38 with poor egg quality, which we cam to find out after my first IVF. First one we had 9 ER, 7 fertilized, 5 arrested on day 4, and the remaining two were both abnormal (8 chromosomes and trisomy 21). We used the antagonist protocol. Next cycle, a more aggressive antagonist protocol yielded a poor response from me with regards to number of eggs. Instead of more, which we were hoping for since my RE said in my case he sees women taking a baby home after the 5th or 6th IVF, we had less eggs. We have 6 ER, 5 fertilized, NONE arrested, and ONE normal blast! The difference from my side is I took pregnitude and Royal Jelly for 5 weeks!

Does anyone know if that would actually make a difference?! We had 4 that arrested as opposed to none arresting with these supplements- as well as zero normals as opposed to one. Any input would be great and I truly hope this helps anyone who needs it! Good luck to all xoxo

    The main ingredient in pregnitude natually does what Metformin does for a lot of us. And it is seen to help with hormone levels and egg quality, but I would not recommend taking it if already on Met or without talking to RE. As for royal jelly, Im not familiar with its bennefits.
    My RE has me continuing on Met and taking CoQ10 for my second IVF in May, I hope we have better results this time around.

    @katib Ive read several articles on Royal Jelly. It is the food of the Queen Bee, who lays 2000 eggs a day? Only the queen bee eats the royal jelly as this helps her lay all the eggs. For women, it helps in improving egg quality from what I have read. It is fascinating and I truly wonder if it helped?

    Laproscopy: 10/2014: Healthy uterus

    IVF #4: 12/8/2014: Canceled. 17 eggs retrieved, 15 mature, 10 fertilized, all unhealthy embryos

    Sorry @jbasore - just saw this.  He wanted me on at least 600mg and recommended a specific kind/brand "Nanoemulsified" (which is a ubiquinol version) by a company called Theralogix.  He gave me a code so I could get it for cheaper.  DH and I have been on it for a month now.
