Busch gardens Tampa

I'm leaving for vacation to Florida today. Super excited! I used to go pretty often because I have family there, even lived there for a little while, but have not been since having DS. I am expecting a different type of trip with a toddler in tow... I read that Busch gardens has a Sesame Street section. I've never ventured to the kiddie section of the park before. Has anyone been over there? Was it a good sized area? Characters easily available for pictures? Rides for a large 17month old?

Re: Busch gardens Tampa

  • We have been going since my son was 4 months old he is 20 months now. The Sesame street section isn't huge but it's perfect for that age. They have a couple rides he can go on with you. They also have a really nice splash play area so be sure to bring bathing suits, swim diapers, and towels. They also have some shows that are fun. To see the characters you can wait in line to have your pic taken. Or they do some kind of character buffet lunch, but we have never done it. Honestly he will probably just enjoy walking around the park and looking at all the animals and roller coasters. Definitely ride the train and the sky ride. My favorite place to eat is the Crown Colony house. It overlooks the savannah with all the giraffe s and zebras. Have fun!

  • Not sure about Busch gardens, but every time we are in Tampa we go to the Lowrey Park Zoo.

    Always, pet the Giraffes.
