Stupid NP realted question about direct deposit...

I want to close the account that I have my check deposited into, do I have to tell my HR department?

    I think you'd have to fill out a new form as to where the checks should now go.

    Yup you sure do! Like PP you need to fill out a new form with the new routing #, acct #, etc. and they will probably tell you that it will take a week's time. At least mine did so I had to receive a paper check for one week while they transitioned my accts. SUX!

    Most likely..if you still want direct deposit you will have to fill out new forms and provide a new cancelled check.

    yes, get your new direct deposit info set up or cancel direct deposit before you close that account. Some paycheck companies will send your money into limbo if the account doesn't accept the funds.
