Sleeping Problems

Has anyone else had a terrible time sleeping lately? Over the past two weeks, I haven't been able to get a good night's sleep without waking up a million times or waking up feeling sore.

I'm a side sleeper and I often roll over onto my stomach. I've been noticing that I wake up often after rolling onto my stomach because it just plain hurts. And in the morning my stomach and back feel achy. I have a super awesome memory foam bed that before now has felt like sleeping on a cloud, but lately... OUCH.

Hubby ordered me one of those bobby body pillow things thinking it might help me stop rolling over, but nope. The thing is pretty comfy, but it has a cut-out type area for a belly that I don't have yet, so it's not really anatomically working with my body quite yet.

Anyone else dealing with this?

Re: Sleeping Problems

  • I have a $10 body pillow @reverey mentioned. I put one leg over it, and I'm able to almost sleep on my stomach comfortably like that because the area where my stomach would be is in an edge/hole. I hope that make sense. I used this method the entire time I was pregnant with my daughter. Once you actually have a belly it will be impossible to lay flat on your belly. Problem solved at that point, but doesn't really help now...

  • Yeah, I've been thinking about just getting a normal body pillow. I feel bad because I know he spent around $50 on the fancy boppy one as a surprise (ordered off amazon and can't return it). Was so hoping it would work well! At least I can try using it later on as I grow into it. Either way, I'm sure he'll just be happy I'm not complaining about sleeping anymore. :p

Does that help stop you from rolling over to your other side, though? That's the other problem I have... I move a lot at night and switch from side to side (and roll over to stomach eventually from either side).

  • I have been having a similar problem. I wake up at the same times every night to pee, it drives me insane. I also have been waking up sore, despite having an amazing memory foam mattress. I have slept with my body pillow ever since last pregnancy but it just isn't enough so I ordered a snoogle. I can't wait for it to get here! I hope it helps and keeps me from rolling onto my stomach!

Is there a specific reason he can't return it?  I've returned many things on Amazon before.  I have the Boppy from my last pregnancy and it's okay.  I really just like to throw one leg over it like somebody said above, and pseudo lay on my stomach that way.  I haven't been sleeping great either - I have an awesome sleep number bed and usually sleep like a rock... lately my upper back and neck have been very sore.  It is frustrating.  I don't have any great advice.  People love the snoogle pilow too.
