monthly "box" question, not impressed with the one we get now.

We have been getting Citrus lane for 6 months or so.   Recently I have not been all that impressed with it.  They send things that are below my sons age or some sort of baby food (we don't do baby food).  Some months are awesome but for every good box, we get 3 more months of stuff I just tuck away because we have no use for it.  

Do any of you get another monthly box that is better?   I just feel for $25 I should be getting a little more bang for my buck so to speak.

    When you get it let me know what you think. :) 
    I know I could take the $$ and make up my own but it is so fun to get a "surprise" each month. 
    We got one for our daughter when she was little but they are no longer in business.  I loved it because it came with a book, lesson book for the child, and a craft all centered around the book in some way.
    I am more for the learning things, toys, books, etc... rather than all the shampoos, soaps, and such.

    i also get citrus lane and i'm not impressed either. I may cancel after my next 3 months is up.

    I like Citrus.  I like that there are lotions and stuff - half the time I use those for myself, nice to have in my purse or at the office.  I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be expecting out of these things that make them so unimpressive to everybody -- i'll be anxious to hear what magical toys are in the other boxes!!

    If you're feeling that the boxes are a bit behind for your baby you can always age them up a month or two and see if that makes it more appropriate.

    See I have only got books in some of mine, not all. But when I do get them, I love it! This one we got a 4 piece wood puzzle, a six pack of black and white flash cards with animals on them, a stage 2 world baby pouch from Plum Organics and then a diaper buddy thing that is basically an emergency kit. So I wasn't too impressed with this one. I don't not like Citrus Lane because I have got some cool stuff and the items have been priced at way over what I pay for the box, but this one and some of the previous ones lately, I didn't really care for.
    That stinks!  I didn't realize that there isn't always a book, since we have always got one.  This month ours had a 6 piece Hape toys wood puzzle, a book (that is actually split into two books, one part is the mom and one part is the baby's that go with them), the diaper buddy thing you got, the plum baby food pouch (I still use these when we are out and about on the weekends if it isn't easy to feed her so I don't mind it) and a Wedela citrus body lotion for me.  I thought it was a good one!  But definitely let us know how the Bluum box turns out.  I really am not interested in products for myself, I wish they were all for the baby, but it seems like they are all offering mommy products now. 
    Yeah, this month I got everything you got, but instead of the black and white flash cards, I got the same book that she mentioned above.

    ETA: It sounds to me like they put the wrong thing (the black and white flash cards) in your box... that definitely sounds like it was intended for a younger child (when they are newborns they can really only differentiate between black and white).  Also, re: mommy products - when I signed up, they said there would always be one mom product in each box, which is part of what i love about it. :-)

    We got the black and white flash cards as well, Cavin wanted no part of them.  He does like chewing on the wood puzzle.

    We do not do baby food so that was pointless.  
    I will look into aging him up a bit and see what we get.

    For those who were interested @MsAmeera25‌ here is what I got in my fab, fit and fun box this quarter. Oscar blandi dry shampoo, mini stability ball with exercise DVD, cover | fx primer, the better chip sample, exfoliating mitt, box of four Level shower bombs, kai perfume oil, cult Gaia head scarf (it's super cute but I'm not sure I could pull it off!) and coupons for all products included.

    I got Bluum as a gift and didn't love it at all. I am glad I didn't spend the money on it and someone else was giving it to me.
