Are any of you using one of the baby food processing systems like the Baby Bullet? If so, recommend your brand! Is it worth it? I want to start solids probably this weekend and will be making pretty much all her foods myself so I think I want to buy one of these systems.

I've been mashing and using the blender or food processor. But I just bought an immersion blender, too, because I want to #buyallthethings and when it comes to small kitchen appliances, #ihavenoselfcontrol.

I have a baby bullet and it works fine but if I had a food processor I wouldn't use the baby bullet.

Yep just using what I already have. Someone bought me a hand blender which is cute but I would rather use an electric blender/food processer than manual power. It could come in handy when at the cottage.

We do it with what we have, a steam pot, ninja and ice cube trays with lids. Works like a charm. No need to go spend a bunch of $$

I use the baby bullet and baby bullet steamer and I love them! Easy to use and and easy to clean.

same here. I would invest in those tiny freezer containers though. For me they're much more convenient than using ice cube trays.

I have a magic bullet and i like the easy clean up. I don't think the baby bullet is any different but probably costs more.

I received the Béaba. Babycook as a gift ... I used it today for the first time and it was great ... I am sure a food processor would work just as well.

It's a steamer, blender, warmer and defroster.

I'm not sure what you are making but the instructions I followed for the Sweet potatoes ... Was to cut them into 1/2" pieces which I steamed. Maybe that will help and speed up the process as well.

I have the baby bullet and everything is very smooth and very easy to clean. But if I wasn't given it as a gift I would have used one of my 3 food processors (I have way too many appliances). I really like the OXO baby blocks for storage.

We splurged and bought a baby cuisinart that steams and blends. Love it and the purees are very smooth (we've done butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and apples so far).

This is my problem too. I am using our blender blade on a mason jar and cannot get it to process all the way to a smooth consistency. Adding BM helps, but there are still little chunks that I end up removing.

Just looked this up on amazon. It sounds amazing and super convenient. I have a giant old food processor that I hate to use because it's so hard to get out and clean. The cuisinart is totally going on my wish list. So tempted to hit buy now...

I got a baeba from my SIL after she was done using it. I used it for DD1 and honestly I liked just steaming the food myself and throwing it in my blender (I have a magic bullet). The baeba wasn't big enough for the amount of food i wanted to make - I would do a large cooking day on a sunday and freeze a ton. I'd have to do several batches in the baeba, but steaming myself I could do so much more at once.

I am on green beans right now and you're right, they are not perfectly smooth. He had some today and didn't have a problem. Do things really have to be of completely even consistency? I only fork mashed the avocado we tried earlier this week and that had little chunks in it too.

Maybe try straining them? I know there is some tool you can buy for this, not sure what's called.

My LO needs a heavier, grittier food on order to keep it down because of the cleft palate. If his food is really smooth it just comes right out his nose. So, I would say as long as your baby's fine with the texture and the chunks are not so big they'll choke on them then it should be fine.

Thanks everyone! Our old (cheap) food processor just broke, so I was trying to decide if we should get something like a Baby Bullet or splurge on a good food processor the whole family can use.
