I feel better that there's a distribution of morning, afternoon, and night/late night. DH is convinced it's only going to happen at 1am!

  • I was surprised to see how many 1-5 pm votes there are. My contractions pick up around 1pm everyday. I wonder if that's the timeframe I will go into labor at.

  • I'm the same as @dotgirl2‌.. I can't really participate since I was induced. But I was put on pitocin at 8am and was fully dilated and ready to push at 11:30am. Crazy fast! Contractions began about 30 mins after pitocin started.

I put afternoon, but I was in active labor for awhile (inconstant contractions for a couple weeks and they never where time able). They never became consistent just more intense which is when we went into the hospital which was around 10pm that evening.

  • i wonder if the high amount of people starting in the 12am-6am time is because we can relax the best when we are sleeping (although i dont feel very relaxed in sleep right now!)
  • I put 6a-10a because my water broke at 9. But now that I think more about it, I was having contractions and maybe some back labor during the night. I just didn't bother trying to time anything, because...sleep.
  • I felt my first contraction at 4:30pm. They were spaced pretty far apart (probably timetable but I didn't bother). They were close and timeable starting at 11:30 pm.
  • I was also wondering this!
I didn't vote as still preggo with this one, but with my first, I started having timeable, noticeable contractions in the 12a-6a timeframe. I'm reallllly hoping for afternoon so we don't have to wake up DS1 in the middle of the night, but what happens happens!

With both of my boys my water broke in the middle of the night (1 AM and 3:30 AM). The second time water broke at 3:30 AM and he was born at 5:27 AM!

ETA: Even though it was a pain to get DS1 taken care of in the middle of the night, it was SO much easier to get to the hospital without traffic!
  • I was probably technically in labor for quite some time beforehand, but I know active labor started (where I knew this was it and I'd better hurry to the hospital) around 6-7am.

  • I answered based on last pregnancy since this one is still inside...

Water broke ~10:30pm, got to the hospital around 12:30am and first contraction (that I felt at least) didn't happen until maybe 3am?

  • I was wondering about this. For some reason I am always disappointed when I wake up not in labor even though it could happen any time. My contractions are frequent all day, although not timeable. They are more intense at night though so I will be interested to see if that's when things get rolling!

  • It's reassuring that even you STMs+ can't pinpoint when it happened.  I've been maybe having some sort of contractions today and it's bugging me that I can't say for sure if this is it or not.

  • I was fine through dinner, and went to bed about 9:45.... I thought I had gas pain, but even pooping didn't make it go away. At 10:30 I started timing- 10 min apart and 1 min long. I was vbsv, so I called the dr-by midnight, I was checked into the hospital and 5 cm. I was 3cm at my 10 am appt. DD1 was born at 5:50am
  • DS1 water broke at 2:30am. No contractions started pitocin at the hospital. DS1 was born at 1:30am the next day.

DS 2 water broke at 2:30/45am. Contractions started 30 minutes later very mild period cramps. At 3:30am on the way to the hospital contractions were 3 minutes apart but mild. DS2 was born at 4:20pm that day.

  • I started  feeling what I thought was Braxton Hicks at 8pm.  By midnight I was checking into the hospital.
