Really painful cramps with bowel movement

So I'm fully aware that BM's increase and become softer towards the end of pregnancy, however, this past week they've been accompanied with very severe abdominal cramps that stop me dead in my tracks! I don't experience any diarrhea, just frequent soft stools, so I don't understand the dramatics with the cramps. After the BM the cramps stop. Anyone else?

    ME!!!  They feel like painful contractions, I was at target 2 weeks and seriously thought I was having contrax.  Was bending over grabbing my stomach and breathing heavy.  went to bathroom had a normal BM and the cramps stop.  Now when I feel this I just go to BR right away.  I have no idea why or what it means

    YES! I just googled it and one site said to stop eating high-fiber and fatty foods. Stick to broths and popsicles and juices. I don't think I can live off broths for who knows how much longer, but I think I'll definitely pay more attention to what I eat these last few days.

    I've been having serious cramps before and during BMs. I think its just gas that doesnt have as much room to move through the body. But I'm not as far along as you ladies so I'm not sure what would be causing my diarrhea and cramps, I've also read the info about fatty foods and fiber, but everything I read suggested this once labor has begun. . . I have an OB appt tomorrow so I'll ask her and see what she says, maybe I can add something to this then!

    Omg me too. It is super painful!! It also hurts sometimes before I go to the bathroom or after I pee or have a bm. I am not sure how far along I am but I know that I am somewhere around 4-5 weeks pregnant.

    This started for me the past week or so as well.  Not sure what to think about avoiding high fiber foods though because I still have days where I'm super constipated occasionally.  I've been assuming that because baby is so big now there is less room for the bowels to be full and less room for gas to move through.  Either way, it's getting pretty uncomfortable!
