So, our agency is going through some major growing pains right now and I have been pulled into a lot of things by different people simply because I have a vast knowledge of our agency, the data, and our data systems.
Well, the meeting I was pulled into on Friday made a decision and a plan and the VP running the meeting was confident the plan would be approved by the other VP's. I got a call this morning from my direct VP asking me to do a project that would interfere with the decision and plan that was made in the meeting on Friday. So, now I am stuck between two VP's. I asked the first one, we'll call her CSVP, what she would like me to do and she put it back on me to talk to my direct VP, we'll call him DVP. So, I called DVP, no answer and I sent him an email with High Importance, still no answer.
DVP told me to make this a priority and to get it done ASAP. So, literally I am stuck. I am get everything together and ready to go, but there is only so much dilly dallying I can do before I piss him off. So help me out, what else can I do? Or do I have to choose between DVP's priorities and CSVP's priorities? I have a feeling a lot of this is political in nature and this isn't the first time, I have been caught in the cross fire of their political fight, but this is the first time that I have been front and center.
HELP!
