Because I am such a crank in the morning. I need 15 minutes to get myself moving and to get a smile on my face. DH STILL does not understand that and acts offended that I'm not smiling and giddy first thing.
I'm not in the sense that I really hate waking up early, but at the same time, when I get up it only takes me a minute or so to feel like my normal cheerful self. Seeing DS smile his big happy "it's morning" smile is enough to get me going pretty quickly!
Yessss. I'm up at 5:45 ready to go.. unless I wake earlier on my own, and I'm usually still ready to go. I LIKE my coffee in the morning, but I don't require it to function. I can go over an hour getting everything ready with DD/school before I even take 5 sips and I'm still ready to go. And I love to get up before everyone and enjoy a quite house for a few.
That's hilarious because I'm very much a morning person and DH is not. I'm all chatty and happy and he's Mr Grump Face. And I'm all "Dude, why the grump face?!" and I get all offended when he won't talk to me at 5am!
Not in the slightest. I despise getting up and moving in the morning. I do it bc I have to obviously but would so much rather sleep and wake on my own without an alarm. DH is the same way. I also need at least one cup of coffee in me before I can function, it is necessary for me.

haha this is SO us. I wanna talk, talk, talk.. H barely hears me, and looks all cranky and junk. I can't tell him anything I actually want him to remember before 7am... it goes in one ear and out the other. And I sit there chatting to myself.
Thankfully, my kiddo has my genes.. she's a morning person, too, and not cranky. Takes her 2 minutes to get up and out of bed. Takes DH like 30 minutes- he lays there moaning.
Total morning person! I get up at 5:00/5:30 am of my own free will and enjoy it it, haha. I love everything about the morning... and I can jump out of bed straight into a task with no problem. Now, night time is a whole other story... I get super cranky the minute I stay up past 11:00 pm. I don't like night time, or staying up late.

I get up usually as DH is about to walk out the door. This morning, he says right before he leaves, "Are you mad at me?"
I just woke up. We've been together a decade. Why are you even asking that?
Not really. I'm not crabby and can wake up pretty fast. The thought of waking up early just because doesn't appeal to me. I'm a sleeper. I'm not a morning or a night person. DH is not a morning person, and is a night owl.

Gee.
That's even more hilarious!! When DH won't talk to me, I'll ask what's wrong and he'll ask why I always ask him that at 5am - obviously the fact that it's 5am and he's awake is whats wrong.

Lydia is such a cute little morning person!! My Anna is like DH, that's actually pretty cute. The handful of times I've had to wake the babies up in the morning, she rolls over and digs her face into her pillow and moans. Haha!! She's like DH's mini-me.
right now the morning person thing is need not apply…. baby is up ever hour. so I am maybe on 3 hours of sleet. I am so tired my face is numb. I can't really nap with the other kids around so that is not really an option. yeah I am just beat right now.

But new babies are so squishy! Have you posted a pic of him yet? AWing might make you feel better about the sleep deprivation!
I am not a morning person as in I don't like getting out of the bed. Once I am up, I am not grumpy but not overly chatty or anything either. H is way worse than I am. He sets his alarm for 30 minutes before he needs to get up because it takes him forever to get out of bed and then he moans and groans about he didn't want to get up.
I'm not a fan of getting out of bed, but once I'm up, I'm good. Once I get coffee I'm ready to go! I do tend to be the most productive in the morning.....except for mornings like this, when I end up on TB..... ">
Well, I am usually cranky when it is early but not for long. I wake up annoyed and then go wash my face and brush my teeth and am fine.
I am the most productive in the mornings though. Come 5:00pm, and I am running on fumes. I am using every last ounce of my energy just to get dinner on table, homework and bath done and the dinner dishes washed. I really have to push myself at night. Once I sit, I am done for.
My kid turns into some kind of crazed animal if I don't get him into his high chair at 5 on the dot and give him something to eat. Makes getting dinner ready a living hell some nights.
But, once I get going and get some coffee in me, I'm good. I have a hard time getting going in the mornings though, especially if we don't have anywhere to be in the mornings...
I love mornings. The alarm goes off at 3:45. J leaves at 5:15 and I have two peaceful hours to myself to do whatever I want. I fall asleep looking forward to waking up!
Not at all. It takes me a good hour to really feel awake. Once I've had coffee and breakfast, I'm good to go. I crash after lunch, though. I'm really more of an evening and late night person, which sucks since that's when I should be sleeping.
