Mini pill

I had my 6 week pp appt today and got a prescription for the mini pill (bc I'm ebf.) I'm apprehensive about taking it because I've reacted so horribly to other birth control pills- mood swings, exhaustion, depression, bad cramps, just depending on which kind I was on. I'm hoping because the hormones are different, I won't react to it as badly.

My question is, for S+TMs, how is the mini pill? Did it affect you like other bc pills side effect-wise?

    I didn't have any side effects when taking the mini pill last time.

    I took the mini pill after I had my son when I was nursing. I never noticed any negative side effects or had any problems with it. Best of all, I didn't get pregnant while I was on it!

    Thanks everyone. I am worried that it could make my hormones go all out of whack then dealing with a baby and school would be too much! But this is reassuring to hear.

    I took it for a year after DS was born. I didn't really notice any side effects (besides a decrease in sex drive).
    I didn't have my period the whole time I was on it though, so I didn't have any experience with cramps or break through bleeding.
