Making baby move?

Is anyone else, with inside baby, having to make baby move every hour? I have been having to do this since last Friday at appointment. Every hour, almost, I have to jiggle, wiggle, eat some candy drink a coke, to get some movement. Doctor said as long as I can get her to react it's all good...it's just getting a little exhausting.

Re: Making baby move?

  • Every hour? My mw still is only concerned if I can't get 10 kicks in 2 hours. Plus baby is getting so squished I don't always feel every movement he makes although I can see a lot of them.

  • Yeah, on Friday I said oh well she has only moved a few times in 48 hours and the doctor rushed me for an ultrasound and said if I don't feel movement every hour, 6-10 kicks (which has never happened)
To do something (like I said
Above) wait 30 minutes, still no movement to call in. I am still working so I do get busy and will maybe miss an hour or something. She has really slowed down from a couple
Of weeks ago but I did think it was fairly normal.

  • I have to do kick counts 3 times a day now.
  • I don't do it every hour but I do it the normal time of day he's most active if I haven't felt him yet. Earlier I are a banana and he went bananas lol. Two more sleeps and he getting evicted.

  • I haven't been feel too much either. I called the doctor yesterday bc she told me too on days he's not active. They told me to give it two more hours and if I didn't feel 8-10 kicks to come in. And that I may not be feeling as much bc there's not much room or bc of the position he is in. She also told me I should feel something every couple of hours and if I don't I should eat/drink and lay down to get some movement. I hate when I don't feel him it makes me worry!
  • I have decreased movement and it has definitely be making me nervous. I have just made sure I am feeling him after I eat. I'm not doing kick counts or I would drive myself crazy.

  • During the day when I'm getting things done I hardly notice movement. At night when I'm sitting down eating dinner he shows my stomach who is boss... At times it's mild and at times I think he's trying to break free lol. I definitely feel less during the day though. I assume it's the close quarters
  • I've definitely felt much less movements the past few weeks, but my OB said it's totally normal and that she just wants me to feel "some movement" every day. So I've been trying not to worry, although sometimes that's easier said than done!
  • My baby is seriously the most active now than ever. I think it's because she's getting squished, so she likes to stretch out. That being said, she would never pass kick counts. She doesn't move while sleeping. Which seems to be most of the time!
