I know that toddlers will have parent preferences from time to time, and even for different activities.  But after MH being OOT for a week, E has suddenly decided that I am the only person who can complete the bedtime routine.  If daddy tries to put on her PJs or read her a book, she loses it.  For me, she will pick a book, sit in my lap, and go right into her crib no problem.  For him, it's a scream-fest.
I don't want to cave into her tyranny, and I don't want her thinking I'm the only one who can put her to bed.  But I also don't want bedtime to turn into a negative experience.  Sometimes we have a sitter and go out at night, shocking, I know.  She's always been so good about this.  Why does she suddenly only want me to put her down?  Any BTDT advice?  WWYD?

    Hmmm. I always put LO down because DH is a SAHD so bedtime is my special time with LO so I'm not sure I have specific advice. I am a believer that it takes just as long to undo a habit as it did to create it so I'd have DH out her down every other night or for a few nights in a row and expect it to take a week to become sane again. GL.

    I'm not a btdt mom but what about both of you put her to bed for a night or two and see how she does the night after.

    DH on Clomid / Arimidex to address hormonal issues - Sperm found July 2011!
    IVF #1 September 2011 - ER 9/8/2011- 8R, 5M - icsi - 1 made it to transfer - BFFN :-(
    IVF #2 Lucky November 2011 - ER 11/25/2011 - 15 eggs!, 13 mature, 10 fertilized with isci - 7 made it to transfer! Transferred 1 - 8 cell and 2 - 7 cell. BFP!!!!
    1st U/S - Twins! 2nd U/S - 3 heartbeats!!! - HOLY COW!!!
    Prayers for our take home babies!
    2 babies born on 3/27/12 and lost. Last baby born on 3/29/12 and lost at 20 weeks.

    IVF #4 October 2012 - New RE. Doing PGD Testing. 8 R, 7F, 2 made it to 5 day blast for PDG testing. Both Normal (Thank you G-d!!!) 1 boy and 1 girl
    transferred one beautiful 5day blast (girl)
    Please G-d the almighty one - let this be our take home baby!

    Just a phase like everything else. I would stick to what your doing or do bedtime together so she enjoys that time with both if you.

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    I would switch up the routine every other or every two days. I'm sure that will help :)

    I used to put DS to bed myself all the time or on rare occassions DH would. Then around a year ago we started doing it together. Best thing ever. He fought daddy a lot at first and now he runs to him first to read a book.

    Just a little hurdle. Stick with it. It will get better.

    Maybe she is anticipating a change in 8 weeks and 2 days.  :)

    We let DS choose who reads his story and puts him in bed. He was on a big DH kick for a while but he seems to have switched back to me. It's totally normal. I would just go with it for a while.
