So I need a happy, cheerful post filled with awing and cuteness overload.

So tell me...what are the adorable/cute/funny things your kids have been doing lately?

Right now, Reese has been begging for food. Seriously. Whenever I am making breakfast/lunch/dinner/whatever she stands in the kitchen and starts to ask: "May I PLEASE have _________???? PLEASE!" It is so annoyingly cute. And she is using manners, which is a win.

The other night at bedtime DS1 told me his legs hurt. I told him he was growing and my feet hurt. He waited a minute and asked if my feet still hurt. I said yes and then he starts singing " I got to move, I got to move, I got to mooooooove my jacket"......to the tune of "Moves like Jagger" from Maroon 5. So random but hilarious.

Just today, N had some gas. She was sitting down, firing off her machine gun gas. I asked her if she was tooting. She replied with, "it's just popcorn, mommy." Lolok, kid. Suuuuure.

DS is 13 months and is hugging everything. It used to be mostly stuffed animals but now it's random inanimate objects as well. Tonight he hugged the brush I use to wipe snow off my car! He's turning into Brick from
Anchorman - I love lamp!

Shoes are a new thing for DS, though he's never been a fan of socks. They don't make him wear them inside at daycare, and I don't make him wear them in the car since he's not walking yet. This evening when we got home, I pulled out his shoes so we could go outside for a bit. When he saw me sit down in front of him with shoes in hand, did the excited-baby-hyperventilating thing, brought his feet out in front of him and wiggled while making these cute little excited noises. I don't know if he's figured out that shoes = going outside, or if he just loves wearing them. Either way, it was freakin' cute.

My DD is 16 months today and over the last two weeks she has started say "pwease" when she asks for something.

She also says "cocks" for socks so we've been working on our S's

.

Apparently she learned the word "mine" at DC today because that's all she would say tonight.

My daughter discovered kisses and sticks her bottom lip WAY out when she gives one. She is 19 months. When my 4 mo DS is crying she will go over to him and try to give him a blanket or paci, or if I am making him a bottle she will stand there with him (I can see her from the kitchen in the living room) and wait until I give him his bottle.

Aiden used to call the show Super Hero Squad "Super Hero Squash." I'm bummed that he just figured it out. His new thing is "Whatever I want!" i.e. Can I have a cookie? No. But...but...whatever I want! Yeah..we have to nip that one in the bud lol

He also loves to take his socks off and rub his feet on Quinn's bizarro spikey but super soft hair.

DS1 came downstairs today and told me he's in charge of me and that I have options.
He didn't elaborate on what my options were, but he kept repeating it. It was too cute.

Oh, another thing. I accidentally slip a cuss word here and there (SHOCKER), but I follow it up with, "Don't listen to mommy's language, okay?!" So now N goes around saying, "don't listen to mommy's language!"

Oh another Reesism. So the other day the only beer left was Bud-Lite which DH HATES. But it opened and and made a face and said this is terrible. Now DD calls all beers: "Daddy's terribles" She also started to use that word with everything, even if she enjoys it. "This cake is TERRIBLE. This candy is TERRIBLE. My medicine is terrible and yucky."

Also, in her most exasperated almost 3 year old voice, "This is boring" or "that's disgusting".

DD (4) blurted out an obscenity tonight out of nowhere. She was playing with play doh and yelled "Oh shit!" She also loves to say "Mommy, that's a good solution" when I come up with a good idea. She's a funny one..

Christian my 4 year old looked me in the eye and sincerely told me that "Mommy, my heart tells me that I should stay up late". I couldn't do anything but set the timer on his Nabi for and extra 20 minutes.

This is new for dd. If I say it's time for bed she will look up to the sky, tap her chin and say "umm no." She does this anytime she doesn't want to do something. Need to change your bum? Eye roll, chin tap "ummm no" ready for your bath? Eye roll chin tap "ummm no. " I have no idea where this came from.

Tonight MH have DD (16 months) dinner. She ate A LOT. When she was done he asked her "so what do you wanna do now?" And she said "bread!!". He had to give her bread and she ate 2 pieces. That's what you get for asking a toddler what she wants dude.

Ever since I started kissing Z's booboos, she's started being ridiculously dramatic about everything, and demanding kisses. Today, she turned around in the bathroom and bumped into her stool. She acted like she broke her leg. I told her she was fine, and she ran out of the bathroom, stopped in the hallway, and bent over and kissed her own knee, then said, "All better!"

DS now says "bop" whenever he bumps his head on something. Usually it is NBD, but when he actually falls and gets hurt, he still says "booopppp!!!" through the tears. So sweet.

Mine has learned what being rude. So if you are "being mean" to her she calls you a rude boy/girl.

She also tells me I'm not her best friend anymore so I said good because I'm your mom.

She is preparing me early for her teenage years.

Recently we were trying to park at Target and there were NO spots. I was telling DD (3) that there wasn't anywhere to park, she started singing "no where to park" and then said "No where to park, damn it" :-t\

I just know she is going to drop the f-bomb at morning school soon and I'm gonna get a phone call.

DS really likes to know how things work. His most recent is the car, he wants to know how it goes faster and slower and about the pedal. So I explained it all to him. Mommy's car is a standard so I have 3 pedals and Daddy's car only has 2 pedals. He is also obsessed with speed, always wants to go faster.

Driving to school today....
"Mommy, why aren't you pushing the gas pedal on the right? You need to push the gas, you need to go faster."
Couple minutes later...
"Mommy, don't press the break. Why are you slowing down? You need to press the gas pedal."

It is my DD's life goal to ride a mechanical bull (she is 3). She saw one at an outdoor festival last year and has been obsessed with it since. We always tell her that she will have to be bigger before she can ride one (it really helps with dinner: K, eat your dinner so that you can grow big enough to ride the bull).

So, the other day, she and I were in a parking lot, when a very large lady crossed in front of us. Suddenly, and without warning, K, who has never mentioned the way anyone looks before, very excitedly says "Wow, mommy, do you see that lady? She is big enough to ride the bull!" I was so thankful that we were in the car with the windows up, because how would I have explained that coming from K, that was a huge compliment!
