Hi.  I've been reading about what to pack in my hospital bag and one suggestion that I've seen is to bring nursing pads, but isn't this something the hospital will provide during my stay after I deliver my baby?  What else will they provide in the private rooms?  Shampoo, towels, diapers?  I don't want to overpack.  Thank you!

    I delivered @ Mary Birch in Sept andI never needed nursing pads so I'm not sure if they'll provide them. The lactation specialist did provide nipple shields, nipple gel pads, lanolin & some other nursing items. They did provide pads & disposable underwear (stock up when they offer, they're nice to bring hm & you'll need them). I brought my own toiletry bag w/shampoo, soap, washcloth & dark towel (theirs are thin). If you have ?s call the hospital they're very nice!

    ETA: they provide diapers & wipes so don't pack any. They'll let you bring any unused ones home.
