F*ck you mastitis! Share your vent

What is your late night vent? I developed mastitis (like I knew I would again) today and my drs office was supposed to call in meds but the pharmacy never received them so I've been doing everything in the book to relieve the pressure and pain. This shit is not fun!

    I didn't get mastitis but had a blocked duct a couple weeks ago... It was brutal. What really helped me (this is going to sound weird) was soaking a disposable diaper with warm-hot water and sticking it in my bra before nursing sessions. It lasts a lot longer than a warm washcloth.

    I got mastitis too! I made a special trip to the pharmacy (in a town 30 miles from my house) for them to tell me they didn't fill my prescription because they didn't have enough! I convinced them to at least partially fill it with what they had so I could start on them but still annoyed me!!! This sucks! The fever and chills are making it impossible for me to get out of bed at night and I feel bad making my husband all the time because he had been super busy at work. Hoping the antibiotics kick in ASAP!!!

    I don't have mastitis (yet), but have a clogged duct that is about the size of half a tennis ball. It hurts so much. I am so hoping it doesn't turn into mastitis, but I'm on day two and a far there doesn't seem to be any change or improvement.
    Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.

    I have a c-section in 7 hours and am not allowed to invest anything- including the Tums I've been living on for the last several months. The acid is so bad I've been vomiting for the last hour. Ugh.

    I feel you! Already on meds but am in so much pain in one breast. It really does suck

    This!! That sounds awful!! I hope you are feeling better soon -- at least they should be able to give you something to help when you are admitted. Hang in there!

    I got mastitis over the weekend. It went away on its own but the aftermath is disgusting. I'm still getting strands of stringy mucous out of that breast when I pump and it's horrifying. I had no idea clogged ducts actually came out as strands of goo and this is my 5th baby.
    Mom to 5 wonderful kids: 18ds, 15ds, 13ds, 11dd and baby boy! Why get old when you can get pregnant?

    I had mastitis and I had no idea how horrible it was. I BF my first child for 13 months and never developed it; less than 2 weeks in with this kid and I get it.

    Besides the horrible pain in my breast, the fever, chills, and nasousness made it sooo miserable! Luckily as soon as I started taking antibiotics it cleared up. Please, never again!!
