Couldn't sleep last night (shocker) and I decided how and where I want to plant my garden and flowers. In going to do mostly vertical pallet gardens hanging on my fence in the only place that gets enough sun.
But I also want to do some hanging pots to beautify my butt ugly garage, lol! I'm going to mount painted pallets to hang the pots on to help keep the water of the garage walls.
OK, now my questions. This is in my backyard and we want to put a sandbox by the flowers. What kinds of flowers will grow well in partial shade but also be kid friendly? Initial I was going to do two big pots with Hydrangeas, but I learned they are poisonous.
I plan on talking with my local greenhouses, but it's still only 9 degrees out and most of them aren't open to the public yet. Also, I'm not very good at gardening. And books or magazines you recommend?
We're Going to be a Family of 5!
