Anyone have problems with their kiddos eating meat? My twins are normaly super good eaters and aren't picky except when it comes to meat. Any sort of meat! They'll pick it out of hotdish's or lasagna. I'm not sure if it's the texture or the fact that they have to work a little harder to eat it or what the deal it. As a standard test, they had their iron tested at their 12 month appointment and there were no issues but I want to be sure to keep it that way. Anyone else deal with this meat problem? If so, how did you get them to eat it or did you feed them something else to get the nutrients? Thanks!
Re: Eating...ugh!
Anyway, we make sure DD gets iron the same way we do: eggs, leafy greens, legumes... She also eats iron-enriched cereal most mornings as part of her breakfast. I'd say just keep offering the meat, and in the meantime use vegetarian sources of iron to fill in the gaps.
