    Happy Monday!

Week/Fruit: week 33/Durian (I hope Peanut smells better than this fruit!)

How are you feeling? up and down: the hormone roller coaster is really getting to me. Yesterday, I spilled a bowl of cereal with my belly, and I cried for about 10 minutes.

Appointments/Updates? Tonight we have our hospital tour, and I'm registering for daycare today! We will get a spot at our first choice - yay!

Rants/Raves:rant: same story: no sleep. rave: my good friend delivered her little boy on time and without complications! She's AMA and high-risk all the way, so this is the best news we could have heard!

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? Currently sporting my 2002 Toyota Carolla. The gas milage is heavenly! It's a great car for Peanut, but it's so low to the ground that getting in/out has become more and more difficult throughout this pregnancy. At the end of the calendar year, I will upgrade to a 2008 Honda Pilot courtesy of my FIL. YAY!

  • Week/Fruit: 32 weeks ... 8 to go! This is getting serious. I believe I am a squash, which seems weirdly unspecific for The Bump counter.

How are you feeling? Overall great, but today TIRED. It was my baby shower yesterday and my mom hosted it at my house. So my husband and I spent the weekend cleaning (currently have some construction going on). I didn't realize how tired I was until I started my Thank You cards last night and made some weird spelling mistakes/comments (including thanking a friend for attending my "bridal shower"). I'm going to proof read them all before I mail them today.

Appointments/Updates? Already had my 32 week appointment, everything is going great.

    Rants/Raves: Nothing to report.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?
We have a Nissan Versa. It's fully paid off so we're going to keep it until it no longer goes. It's only 6 years old, so we have a while to go. For a small car, the backseat is huge, so I think it will be great for a baby (my sister also has one, with twins, and it works great for them).
I never thought I would want one, but after this hellish winter I feel like a nice, heavy SUV would be amazing ... but just for snow/winter driving. I've gotten stuck in the snow with my Versa twice, not fun when 7+ months pregnant!

  • Happy Monday! This is my last Monday at my job before I start my leave, YAYYYY!!!

Week/Fruit: week 33 / Durian (I've never heard of this fruit)

How are you feeling? Tired and my back hurts. I'm hormonal, but feeling super relieved to be starting my leave soon.

Appointments/Updates? The usual stuff... need to ask about my TDAP vaccine soon.

Rants/Raves: Rave: so excited to be starting my leave! Work has been awful for me these past few weeks, so I'm relieved to be done with the stress and heartache it's causing me.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? I drive a 2013 Honda Accord. We actually purchased it with the baby in mind, so it's pretty perfect for the baby and our needs. Reliable, efficient, and roomy without being too large.

  • Week/Fruit: 31 weeks, Pineapple

How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good a side from lack of sleep but that's expected nowadays.

    Appointments/Updates? None to report.

Rants/Raves: No rants/ Raves: got a couple big ticket items off the registry last week in the mail!

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? I drive a 2008 Mercury Mariner, it's safe and my husband is getting a 2013 Nissan Altima this week to replace his Mountaineer.

How are you feeling? Energy isn't too bad but still a ton of pain from my groin injury/spd that seems to just be getting worse. Not that that surprises me as the belly is just getting bigger! But nausea and food aversion has been back pretty strong which is a bummer- I'm back to have no idea if or what I want to eat ever.

Appointments/Updates? Ob tomorrow and then birthing classes start tomorrow!!!

Rants/Raves: finally got the crazy amount of second hand clothes washed and organized for peanuts room!

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?
We drive a Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4 door so I would say yes it is a safe car with space although it is our only car and we can't afford another one right now. But I would like a Subaru outback or similar type car for 1) more space and 2) we also need a that can transport our kayaks and outdoor gear. DH has been talking about a mini can but I really am not a fan.

  • Week/Fruit:  30 weeks/ cucumber? Not sure.

How are you feeling?  eh, pretty good. SPD and acid reflux are the banes of my existence.

Appointments/Updates?  Wednesday for the reg, and a growth u/s to be scheduled soon.

Rants/Raves:  Rave: Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Bring on the soda bread, Irish stew, and all the green sugar things :) Rant: I'm so tired. I can't sleep with the reflux, and nothing I take even makes a dent.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?  I drive an '08 Toyota Yaris, which is great for gas mileage and has held up through a lot of highway driving really well. Ideally, I'd love to get the Tesla SUV that's coming out next year, but definitely can't afford it. On a realistic level, I think a Subaru Tribeca for the 3rd row seating and all wheel drive.

  • Week/Fruit: 33 weeks/Durian, never sure why mu family liked eating that fruit, it stunk like gym socks to me.

How are you feeling? I feel like an old lady when I have to stand up from sitting position, where my right leg meets my hip is so sore.  I waddle/hobble.  Otherwise I'm doing ok.  Just feeling big as a house and rubbing my belly a lot.  I'm getting a little anxious now and debating on whether I want to take more time off before the baby is born or not.  So far I decided two weeks off before baby is born, thinking maybe 3 now.

Appointments/Updates? Next appt isn't for like a little two weeks away when I'm 35 weeks.  As for updates, I had my co-ed baby shower this past Saturday.  Tons of fun and so many awesome gifts from awesome people.  The nursery is coming closer to getting done, which excites me so much!  DH is so wonderful working his butt off yesterday assembling the furniture.

Rants/Raves: Rants-I really can't do much anymore before my hips, back, feet or belly starts to get sore.  I dislike feeling like I can't continue doing things for myself.  I rather not inconvenience others to grab or carry something for me.  I wouldn't lift heavy things, or put myself out cause I don't want to hurt myself but then I hate to interrupt someone to do something for me.  Meh, just makes it more time consuming because I stand there and try to think of solutions.

Raves-We got the 4moms Breeze pack and play for our baby shower along with the mini city jogger stroller and I am way excited to put them to use!

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?  I drive a VW Jetta Stationwagon, awesome car for baby, and two large dogs!  DH drives a Dodge Charger, which is what I'll probably be driving this summer as it uses more gas than my diesel VW, so that DH can save money on his commute.  But I think the Jetta wagon will be the family car.

    Week/Fruit: 30 (!!!) / cucumber?

How are you feeling? Great! A little more tired & slow than before but fine.

Appointments/Updates? Passed my 3 hour glucose challenge @ hours 1, 2 and 3 but failed the fasting blood draw miserably. I have a diagnosis of "impaired fasting blood glucose" and starting Thursday I'll be on the GD diet & checking my blood sugar numbers 4 times a day. If the numbers don't get better after a week they'll start me on medication.

Rants/Raves: :(( = the diet. I keep thinking of things I want to eat before the diet officially starts but then I feel guilty for even wanting to. Plus there's no way I can pack 2 months of sweets into a week so I need to chill. :D = I am set to begin Pilates with a private instructor after the baby comes! A friend's mom is an instructor with a studio in her house. We will do the sessions on weekends & my husband agreed to watch the baby because he knows how much getting back into shape means to me. It was a huge relief to know that I am actually going to be on a good fitness routine with a teacher. I was worried I falter on my own.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? I drive a Prius. Bought it brand new a couple years ago, love the heck out of it. It was our "family" car choice. Unfortunately I have a 30 mile commute each way so I drive a lot. Being in California, the price of gas can get pretty high every summer & it used to cause me anxiety. Now I don't even think about the price of gas, and to me that's worth the extra $$ the Prius was over a similarly sized vehicle.

  • Week/Fruit: Week 33/ Durian

How are you feeling? Feeling fine, but crampy at times. Legs have started to feel heavier and more rib pain as LO keeps inching up.

Appointments/Updates? I had my childbirth class this past Saturday and I gotta be honest, not sure if it was worth the $300. I probably could've found most of the information online or from another mom. Next appt is this Wednesday.

Rants/Raves: Rants: Starting to feel uncomfortable and I'm leaving for my sister's bachelorette party this Thursday in SF/Napa. I love it there, but cannot imagine walking around, not drinking loads of wine and other booze while the other girls do. Raves: My baby shower is the weekend after and I'm so excited! Not even for the gifts, but just to see all my friends and celebrate together.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? We had the Audi A4, but it's a bit cramped in the back seat. We are thinking of getting the Audi Q3 or the new Mercedes GLA b/c we need a smaller compact car since we live in the city.

How are you feeling? Ready to be done still. Kind of feel like a sore throat is coming on, FX it doesn't. But overall just uncomfortable..

Appointments/Updates? Tomorrow I have an appointment with my CNM.

Rants/Raves: My shower is this weekend which means my sister is coming into town and my two aunts from California are coming!

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? I currently drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla. This could work just fine, but we also have a dog and the back seats are a little harder to get in and out compared to the car we are shopping for which is a 2014 Subaru Outback. We actually went to two dealerships yesterday and walked away. One called us back and we will probably go in tonight and get it :)

  • Week/Fruit:  32/a squash (it doesn't say what kind though)

How are you feeling?  I'm entering the phase where I just feel large a lot of the time, sometimes even fricking huge.

Appointments/Updates?  My next appointment is next Friday I think.

Rants/Raves:  rave: Benjamin can say 'hi' now.  It's approximately the cutest ever.  I say hi kind of a lot, and now he says hi back.  :)

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?  DH and I have two cars that we share, and the kid car is a fourteen-year-old Chevy Malibu.  It seems like a good car for a baby and a toddler.  If we decide to have a third, we'll have to figure that business out.  (The middle seat belt doesn't work, so even if three carseats would fit in the back seat we'd have to figure out what to do about that belt first.)
  • Week/Fruit: 32w/squash

How are you feeling? Sore and so very tired. It's hard to walk and breathing is a chore right now.

    Appointments/Updates?

Went for my first NST today and they couldn't get my stubborn babies to stay on the monitor. They were bouncing everywhere so I had to get an ultrasound. Of course by that time they'd worn themselves out and we're asleep so I was there for over an hour today. I really hope they're better behaved on Thursday! Babies are growing big! I have over 9.5lbs of baby going right now.

Rants/Raves: rave: pelvic rest is officially over today. It's a shame I'm so sore, but I'm going to suck it up for DH since he's been without for over 18 weeks now.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?

We bought a dodge caravan when I was pregnant before because we couldn't fit 2 rf car seats in my 2003 corolla. It's going to be awesome for carting around my babies!

  • Good Morning, Ladies! Happy Monday!

    Week/Fruit: 33/Durian

How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good overall.

Appointments/Updates? Not til next week. Baby is measuring a couple weeks ahead, already weighed 5.11!

    Rants/Raves: DH finished the nursery!

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want? I bought a new (for me) car last summer in preparation for a growing fam. I bought a 2012 Mazda 6. DH drives a 09 Honda Civic. Since this is our first, both cars work fine.

    How are you feeling?
So tired. Ever since the baby shower I've had like, 0 energy.

    Appointments/Updates?
No new updates, next appointment is with my OB tomorrow.

    Rants/Raves:
Rant: I accidentally washed my iPhone the other day and killed it. I ordered a replacement and it came today only it's the wrong phone. I ordered the 64GB 5S and I got a 32GB 4S. Obviously, it's not an awful phone but it's not the phone I ordered. First world problems.
Raves: Hell's Kitchen starts back up in May!! I'm a total Gordon Ramsay fan girl.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?
A 2010 Final Edition VW Beetle. It's the most worthless piece of crap I've ever had the displeasure of owning. Between the electrical issues (yesterday a neighbor left a note on my car asking me to park it elsewhere because apparently the alarm likes to go off in the middle of the night every hour or so) and transmission issues I hate this thing. Please, someone steal it and roll it off a cliff.
With that said, I don't think it's a very good car for baby. We're getting a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 with an extended cab to replace my POS bug in the next week or so. It has a super roomy backseat and is pretty much a tank- I'll feel pretty comfortable driving baby girl around in it. In the mean time, I have to find someone willing to buy my current car so my neighbors will stop hating me.
  • Week/Fruit:30 weeks

How are you feeling? Tired all the time. My iron levels are fine so it must be my two kids wearing me out.

Appointments/Updates? Had my 30 week appt today. All is well. Got my Tdap shot today. Passed my one hour glucose test.

Rants/Raves: Raves:Finished cleaning out nursery so we can start decorating for baby girl. Rants: I hate maternity pants and how saggy they are all the time.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?

Total mom mobile-GMC Acadia. Great for our two kids and has an easily accessible third row for when baby comes.
  • @yayglitter the general consensus is VWs have decent engines but the cars & electrical systems fall apart around them! Good luck w/ your new vehicle, sounds like it'll be much better.

I wish I would've known that when I bought it! I didn't do my research so I guess you learn from your mistakes- I just wish mine hadn't have been a 24k mistake. : /

How are you feeling? Ehh depends on the day, having a tough time in the morning and at the end of the work week.

Appointments/Updates? Going in this Friday, last time at my 28 week appointment I had protein in my urine and she wanted to do a urine check this week, nervous but trying not to think about it.

Rants/Raves:  My biggest rant right now is the fact that I cannot get comfortable at any point, my rave my massage yesterday.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?

I have a Chevy Cruz, not really a good car for two little ones but I drive 40 miles back and forth to work each way, and had an SUV but its not ideal gas mileage wise. Eventually I'd love to go back to an SUV, hopefully I can get a job much closer to my house eventually.

How are you feeling?  Tired and frazzled, but that's probably at least in part due to the crazy hours at work and the fact that we're in the process of moving.

Appointments/Updates?  Next appt. later this week; no real news til then.

Rants/Raves:  Getting excited to see our new house come together!  But holy crap I need a nap.

GTKY: What type of car do you drive? Is it a good car for baby? If you are thinking of getting a new vehicle, what do you want?  I have a hyundai that I only got over the summer; DH and I were TTC and I had this super crappy car I'd had since moving back after my undergrad.  I didn't owe anything on it, so I'd kept it as long as I could, but it started breaking down.  I knew that it breaking down would be a hell of a lot more serious if it was me and a baby vs. just me...
