I'd like to avoid using wipes after every pee- what is the best way to use thin washcloths when doing this? With warm water? Would you put them in a bin and wash every other day, for example? On another note I am trying to find a store that carries Water Wipes - and advice?
We don't usually unless there's poo involved but do wipe down the diaper area once or twice a day with sterile water and 4x4 gauze pads. Actually used them for wipes for a while because of some skin irritations but finally changed over to sensitive wipes.
You can buy 4x4's from Amazon or about any drug store and they are cheap
I never wiped after pee either. Both of my kids are a bit sensitive and all that extra water/wiping made it worse.
I wipe down once in the morning and once at bedtime with a warm wet rag.
I CD and for wipes I just use the cheap RE washcloths from Target. The ones in the $3.99 8 pack. They wash up so soft. I just toss them in a designated hamper and wash with the diapers. you could just get a small basket and do them as their own load.
We CD and use cloth wipes (flannel). I don't buy fancy wipe solution -- I just keep them in a re-used plastic Huggies wipe container and use water with a few drops of baby shampoo to keep them moist.

You can also order liter bottles of sterile water cheap or just use nursery water or distilled water.
