After having just finished my first IVF cycle, I'll say this: in the beginning it's crazy overwhelming. For all of us. But each day brings a new question, new med, new side effect, and you start to become familiar with things rather quickly. I'm not sure if this meeting is to decide whether or not you should do IVF (I had three of those) or if it's to decide how to do it. Either way, write down questions as you think of them and feel free to ask specific questions here once you know them.
In a nutshell, I think the unknown is scary but once it's all mapped out for you, it really is just one step at a time. Good luck!

*I am no longer regularly posting on TB because of the fucked up debacle of Jan 2015 when administrators banned long-term members and mods with no notice and completely dismantled a community full of women who cared about each other. If you see me posting it's only to give support to a poster who needs it or to post something important enough that I need to say. I am no longer responding to anything other than issues that affect people who I care about*

We're MFI, too, and just went through our first transfer.
Honestly, IVF was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. It felt good to be actually doing something for our IF and the frequent RE visits and monitoring made me feel like everything was under control. Plus, there are so many little victories you can celebrate (Made it to ER! Completed first PIO shot! Made it to transfer! etc.)
The think I was scared most about was the ER because, frankly, the idea of having a needle going through my vaginal IS FREAKING TERRIFYING. In the end, it was a piece of cake. (MUCH better than the IUIs I had been through with my OB). Oh, and the shots weren't bad at all (and I'm afraid of needles).
