I make a big corn beef and cabbage dinner for my family, the way my mom does and we have an amazing sauce that ends up going on everything! My favorite dinner all year! Still need to perfect a glutten free Irish soda bread recipe.
My grandma had this Irish saying hanging up and I've always liked it:
May those who love us, love us And those who don't, may God turn their hearts And if He can't turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.
I like to go out on St Pattys enjoy some whiskey shots and dance to Irish music, obviously not this year though , probably celebrate with a nap after work
I normally make a big corned beef and cabbage meal every year, and we have friends over. Irish car bombs are always involved. Unfortunately none of that this year, but I will be making Irish car bomb cupcakes.
My Grandma is from Ireland and I usually go to dinner with them, Hubby joins when it's on a weekend,, he works nights. This year I thought I was gonna have to work tonight and not be able to join so I bought a corned beef and cabbage, but found out I'm off, so mom and grandma are coming over for dinner. I wish I didn't have a busy weekend as I did and didn't spend all day today cleaning so I could of made a cake in my shamrock cake pan for dessert.
Here's my Irish grandma from a few years back on St Patricks Day- she's now 92!

can i ask why?
i get that some people avoid alcohol entirely while pregnant, but wouldn't cooking it in a stew get rid of the alcohol?
