DD hater her car seat. DS is fine as long as we are moving. We found with DD that toys (like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00115S410/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1395085783&sr=8-3&pi=SX200_QL40 ) helped some but ultimately what helped the most was switching to a convertible car seat. She liked sitting up straighter and being able to see what is going on. We also had a CD that we played only in the car that she liked and it helped calm her down.
Yes! We seem to be on the tail end of a very, very strong hatred for her car seat, however there is still a lot of screaming involved when we load her up most times. Our ped said it may just be the angle and it may cause her reflux to flare up. It makes it very difficult to go anywhere. I have to put her in the baby bjorn when we get to where we are going or we are in for a major meltdown!
Not until recently. Reading all these replies makes me think we'll have to move him to a convertible car seat.
Lately he is trying to sit up when he is strapped in and getting angry that he can't. He also puts his hands on the sides and lifts his butt up in an effort to get out of it.
Ds1 wasn't like that but ds2 hates it! He will scream the entire time! Only thing that helps is if someone is out back with him and holds a pacifier in. But I don't usually have anyone with me so it sucks
@megswen that's kind my mantra, if he's crying he's breathing, if he's crying he's breathing...I just repeat until I get where I'm going. @TJHine my LO is doing better now but yeah he had a terrible time in the carseat before..usually I find he was sweating like crazy in there and for some reason he ALWAYS pooped in the carseat and then desperately wanted his diaper changed. I think it's the way he sits in there causes him to poop, lol. I dress him lighter now and adjusted the shoulder straps which were still on the lowest setting so he was majorly uncomfortable and then it got much better.
Re: Anyone else dealing with this...

"Better a crying baby than a dead baby!"
I can just see her in her exhausted, delusional state repeating that over and over, and it makes me laugh.
@megswen I agree, I try to remember that!
