@SweetSouthernMama08 and I were talking about this yesterday. About a year ago, we were all seeing those two lines on the pee stick. Can you believe it?
So share your BFP story! When did you find out? Were you surprised? How did you tell your SO?

I waited until the day FF recommended to test (which was a ridiculously long time) and that morning for some reason I woke up at 3AM. I hadn't been doing my BBTs that cycle, but for whatever reason I popped the thermometer in my mouth and without even taking the test I knew the result, it was still high several days after AF was due. I peed on a stick to confirm and then woke up DH. He was so excited he couldn't get back to sleep!

Found out the day after my 29th birthday! We had been trying for 8 months but I was on what I thought was the end of a 90 day cycle and I had taken Provera to start my period but it just never happened. FWIW I randomly took an OPK while on Provera and pulled a positive, called the doctor and was told to finish my 3 pills, that it was fine.
I was going to donate plasma and I decided to pee on a stick for the hell of it because o was 4 days past my last pill and my temp was still up and lo and behold the faintest little squinter of a BFP you ever saw.
I was shocked and estatic! I couldn't convince DH it was real for a few more days.
DH and I were talking about this the other day too!
We found out on April 14th. I woke up that morning, I was a day late, and I said to DH I was pregnant. He didn't believe me and said no you aren't. I had a test in the closet, took it and saw those 2 pink lines! I froze in the bathroom. I ran upstairs, where my Neice was like "Good Morning Aunt Shanny, I'm hungry!" I was like "hold on 1 min. I need your Uncle" (lol shes so cute!) I told him to go downstairs that there was something in the bathroom. (he didn't know I was taking the test) I let him find it himself. I walked downstairs and he was frozen over the sink....
Totally not planned but wouldn't change it for the world!
I think we found out April 1st or 2nd. My period wasn't due for a couple of days, but I had been charting and had the same "off" feeling I had before our BFP and subsequent CP in January. I stopped on the way home from work to pick up a test and took it almost immediately when I got home. DH was cooking dinner and I walked into the kitchen and showed him the BFP. I think we probably hugged, but didn't get too celebratory. We were cautiously optimisitc given the CP in January.
Honestly, the timing of it was a godsend. In the two weeks prior, two close couple friends plus a family member told us they were pregnant. It was a bit of a rough time for us, especially since one of them had a due date within days of what ours would have been if January's had stuck.
The best part is our LO has cousins on both sides plus future bffs close in age.
I found out April 17th. All the Boston bombings stuff was all over the tv. I cleaned my bathroom before I took my test. H didn't even know I was taking one. I kinda did it for shits and giggles because I was only 2 days late for my period. And I honestly didn't think I was pregnant. I peed on the stick and then while I was waiting I was looking on my phone at all the Boston stuff. I glanced over and saw "pregnant". So I ran downstairs shouting "I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant!" H was like "are you sure?! Take another test." Haha so I did and another positive! One of the best days ever!!
We found out march 30th (Easter weekend). We had tried for 9 months already, and I was so used to seeing those bfns. I woke up on the 30th from a dream that felt so real... In the dream, I had taken a pregnancy test and it was positive. I decided to take a real test just to see, since our parents were over and we would be drinking that day. It was positive. I called my dh into our bedroom to 'kill a spider' so I could tell him without the parents suspecting anything.

wow our stories are so similar!
We had been trying for 8 months also. I had just taken a round of Provera that ended an 80 day cycle, & we were actually in the process of scheduling an appt with an RE due to PCOS. The following cycle I had the first confirmed ovulation I had had since I started charting, so I became super hopeful. I tested early in the morning on March 21st, at 11dpo...I had really suspected I was pregnant, & I was!! DH was just climbing into bed because he works a late shift, when i came out of the bathroom saying "Omg Babe, I'm pregnant!" I think it took a couple days for him to really believe it too. I took several more tests to be sure, lol.
We found out April 11. I was a little late but just chalked it up to all the traveling Id been doing. I had been feeling crampy so was waiting and waiting for AF. Then kind of jokingly on that Monday I emailed H and told him I thought I was pregnant. And asked if he thought I should get a test. He told me to do whatever. I thought it was just wishful thinking. Considering we had just started trying in February. I waited until Thursday and when AF still hadnt arrived I stopped and bought a test. Waited for H to get home, went and took it and sure enough with in 30 seconds the lines were there. I got teary. H(very unemotional) tells me to make sure I sanitize the counter where the stick was laying.
We tried for a long time with #1, so with this one we were not trying/not preventing. I didn't want to wait for the "perfect time" and regret it later. My close friend got pg and I told her I'd loan her my maternity clothes.
The day before I was supposed to give her the clothes (she lives out of town) I took a test for the hell of it. It was 4:45pm, so no FMU. And really early at CD26. Liam was 4 months old and in the crib. He started getting fussy while I waited for the test so I picked him up and bounced him around the bathroom. It was a digital and I swear it took 10 minutes to turn. I was shocked. I told myself I would wait until H got home to tell him but I was literally calling him seconds later. He was so calm. I was flipping the f out!
I found out April 11, which was also my birthday. We had been trying since the previous May, with a loss in December. I was only 11 DPO (I had been charting for two months and using OPKs, so I was sure about dates), so I wasn't going to get too discouraged yet if the test was negative. I didn't want DH to know I was testing that morning so I could surprise him if it was happy news, so I waited until he got in the shower, jumped out of bed and went in the other bathroom. When the test was positive, I almost couldn't believe it. I took it to the master bath and opened the shower door to show DH and exclaimed, "Best. Birthday. Ever!"
We found out on April 20th. It was Saturday. I was 6 days late so when FI left to bar tend that morning I drove to the drugstore and bought a HPT. Somehow I felt weird buying only that so I also bought a hairbrush (WTF?). The clerk told me "good luck" when I checked out.
FI and I had agreed that if the test was positive, I would stay home. If it was negative, I'd come in for a beer.
I went home and took the test and was in total shock...really didn't believe I was actually KU. I tried to sit on the couch and watch TV per our agreement, but it was a huge fail. I went into the bar anyways. I told FI I didn't want a beer but claimed I hadn't taken the test yet. He believed me for some reason (denial?) so it wasn't until we got home and he asked if I was going to take the test before we went to Meijer that I admitted I already had.
He just stared at me and said "soooo you're pregnant" and I just nodded and started crying because holy shit. He gave me a hug and told me to take another test the following morning just to be sure (but there was no question) then we went to Meijer anyways because we didn't really know what else to do.
I'm LOLing at the hairbrush. I do that shit all the time. I need some lube. . . . and some CHOCOLATE. Good times.

It was April 21st. DH went in to bartend for brunch, I went to work at my barn. I felt off all day, and was kinda bummed because I didn't want to get sick on our Friday. I was texting with DH and he stopped at total wine to stock up for our weekend, so I was looking forward to some Flying Dog to cheer me up, lol.
I got home and decided to POAS just in case before downing a shit ton of beer, and BOOM. I was super calm, and DH cried and couldn't stop hugging and kissing on me. I was just in shock, lol. One ectopic pregnancy, one miscarriage, and nearly two years of trying. Now we have our rainbow baby!
It must be a southern thing because my husband and his family are always hugging ON things and kissing ON things. LOL
Yay for rainbow babies!

I was trying to wait till I was officially late (but only made it to 12 dpo). I had been waking up to pee way more than normal for 2 nights in a row and then the second night I also woke up in the middle of the night feeling queasy, so I pretty much had a feeling at that point. Waited till DH left for work and took a cheap Wondfo test I had - 2 faint lines. So I also peed on the FRER I had - two darker lines. Even though we had been trying for a little while I was a little surprised -- we had barely tried that month so I was sure that of all the months it wouldn't work that time either.
Told DH by putting hot dog buns in the oven, and asked him to take a look at the oven when he got home b/c I thought it was broken. He opened it and looked at me blankly. I said "Looks like we have a 'bun in the oven'!"

Clue number 1 was at my friends sons first birthday party at the apartments I kept having to go home to lay down cause I felt sick. On the April 18th I went to the store and I bought 2 peices of half off easter candy and as I was walking home I got really super dizzy and ate both peices of candy and felt way better that was clue number 2. I kept arguging with myself that I needed to go get a test, but we had been trying for four years and I swore every month I was pregnant and did not want to be dissapointed. Finally I made the choice and went and got two digitals screw trying to see if the lines were there or not. So I come home and tell my mom ok going to test and thought at least I can push it out of my head. It took the digi 30 seconds to change too postive, I took the test to my mom and told her it was broken lol. I called my hubby and he came home from work and I took the second one and again postive but we really wanted to be sure. We went to the dr and I took a test there and then it was really confirmed lol, hubby instantly posted on facebook and instagram.
These are amazing stories, thank you all for sharing! Keep them coming!

We started trying in January last year and were blessed enough to only have to try 3 months. DH and I found out together on April 1st. We wanted to find out together, but I POAS in the morning when I got up and saw 2 lines. I thought it was an evap line because it had been sitting out for a while before I checked it. When DH got home from work that evening I POAS again and it was confirmed! He's never hugged me tighter than that night. I'll never forget it!
We decided that I'd stop taking the pill after my 28th bday (Feb 21). We wouldn't try, but we wouldn't prevent either expecting that my body would take at least a few months to adjust to being off the pill since I've been on it for so many years. My LMP was Feb 24th and I found out I was pregnant March 23rd. I immediately started getting symptoms which tipped me off to test the day I was due to get my period. I ran to the store in the morning and tested when I got back before DH even got out of bed. I saw a faint pink line within seconds and started crying. I brought the test to DH while he was in bed and he just smiled and said in the sweetest tone "we're going to have a baby!". I pretty much cried off and on the entire day; I was in complete shock.

I found out March 25th. My period was due and I expected a negative test. we had been trying 2+ years and were waiting to do IVF. I was surprised when it popped up "pregnant". then I had a frantic calls to find an OB to see me to do beta test since i had two losses. My beta came baby at 550 which I took as a great sign.
I was home alone, DH had gone to work early that morning, and took a
test. It was positive and I just sat there stunned and stupidly smiling
at my cats. I couldn't wait six hours for DH to get off work so I came
up with a plan. DH had been super anxious that week because he had been
called to testify in a hearing for his company. I called DH telling him
that a package had arrived at the house and it looked like documents
that needed to be signed and sent out that day. He got extra anxious and
I told him that it was okay, I'd swing by his work and have him sign
and get them in the mail (it was a Sunday, he was too anxious to
notice).
I ran to target, got a card, some poppy seeds, and an
official looking package and headed to his work. I walked in and he was
all flustered. He grabbed the package and opened it. He was super
confused at first, then read the card that said "our little poppy seed
is arriving in December". He hugged and kissed me so hard in front of
all his co-workers and we were both crying. He kept saying "are you
serious? I love you so much." He was so happy and relieved it had
nothing to do with the trial. His co-workers were all so happy for us.

I never realized how many of you struggled before the arrivals of your los. Just wanted to say that D 13 babies are blessed to have such persistently strong (mamas) parents! Could not imagine going through the loss some of you ladies have. And Im very happy you ladies finally received your gift.
I found out March 26 th . We had been trying for a year and on this day I had made my appointment with the Doc to discuss our next step in trying it get pregnant . So I decided to take a test an hour before I left for my appointment and it was positive ! I screamed for my husband while still on the toilet and showed him . We couldn't believe it but I was still skeptical because it was a 1$ walmart pregnancy test . I went to my appointment and peed in a cup and sat in the room to wait to speak with the doc . I don't think he knew why I was originally there initially because after a few minutes of him talking I had to interupt him to ask if I was really pregnant . He said yes and kind of laughed !
I found out April 1st! We were on our honeymoon, at the airport on our way home from NOLA. We were sitting at brunch on Easter morning (the day before) and I look at H and said I feel funny. 2 minutes later I was practically running over people to get to the bathroom. I didn't think much of it because I had been drinking the night before (oops) and thought the food wasn't sitting well with me. We went on with our day and the more I thought about the more I got the suspicion I could be pregnant. I had just gone off my birth control, but when I ran to thecvs across the street from our hotel for a powerade and some snacks for our early morning airport trip tomorrow I picked up a test too. I took it the next morning in the airport and came out with the biggest grin on my face. DH just knew. He said, you're pregnant huh? And I yelled "hell yeaaaaah" haha he picked me up and twirled me around in the airport he was so excited. We were kinda looking forward to trying for a little while!! We told my family on Mother's Day, and they all thought I was joking. Lol I had to go pull out the ultrasound and show them it was real!
I found out on April 9, at 9:54 in the morning. I was home alone and had just started working from home a few weeks earlier. My DH and I had been trying for three months, but I'd only been temping and such for about two. I was still early, hadn't missed my period yet, but I have always sucked at waiting, so I decided to POAS and see what happened. Lo and behold, the little digital window said, "pregnant." Having been on TTGP, I had expected us to take between six months and a year, so it came as something of a shock. I took a picture of the stick and texted it to my DH. (I then peed on two more sticks just to be sure the first one didn't lie. I also peed on another one the next morning, to be certain. DH thought I was ridiculous).
Unfortunately, he was in meetings and didn't see it immediately. He didn't call until 1 in the afternoon - I spent three hours thinking, "oh my god, he's not excited. He's freakin' out." But he was very excited - immediately told his boss who told him to come home "since he'd be useless the rest of the afternoon anyway." Did I mention his boss is awesome? He got home, and we celebrated with Outback (classy, I know).
We decided to start trying for our first child, done the deed over and over for several, several days lol, about two days before my next period was due we went to Walgreens, purchased a test, waited til the next morning, went downstairs together (he always said i better never take a test without him & i never would anyway... that is something you should do with each other IMO because its so special!) and waited and sure enough we got our Big Fat Positive!! We were jumping for joy and very excited!! It was on April 20 when we found out. We really couldn't believe we got pregnant on our very first try, but we were so glad we did!! We waited and told our family members & parents on Mother's Day! This is what we put inside their Mother's Day cards! They loved it.
I woke up on April 1 just feeling "off." I hadn't missed my period yet and I had no symptoms, just a hunch. We definitely weren't trying. I POAS and it was immediately positive! I couldn't wait, so I called DH and of course he didn't believe me since it was April Fool's Day and we weren't trying. He made me pee on so many different brands just to make sure! Then we were so excited we drove to visit and tell both sets of our parents that day!
