  I really can't complain. DS was amazing, even though his general routine was totally upended. Saturday night there was a St. Patrick's Day dinner at the Elks' Lodge my parents are members of, and it didn't start until 7. DS has happily been in bed at 6:30 lately. But he took later naps and had a hell of a time running around making friends. He only sees this part of his family a few times a year, so it is what it is! If a fought nap is the only repercussions of a insanely busy weekend, I'll take it!

  He usually does sleep away fine! Something about my brother's house threw him off, I guess. I should also be fair and clarify that for my kid sleeping like crap is waking up once and going back down without a fight after a small bottle. He did that for most of the trip, and then last night he woke up at 3:30 and didn't fall back asleep until almost 5. The whole house had to listen to him chatter to himself and kick the PnP mattress (his self soothing trick of choice).  Still not terrible (he could have been wailing), but there were 2 other sleeping toddlers in the house. One of which was in the same room as him. So we lucked out that she slept through her cousin's shenanigans. I would have felt terrible if he woke her.
