  With DD#1 we started getting her little people around 1yr. She still is playing with them at almost 3. DD#2 just turned 1yr and just started playing with the Zoo and Princess Castle. We have a ton of toys but this just sticks out because they play with them for a while.

  I created an Amazon birthday list to give people as suggestions if they ask.  I put a lot of outdoor toys on the list; sandbox, sandbox bucket set, tree swing, baby pool, water toys, and water table. I also added indoor toys like a crawl tunnel, fisher price little people sets, and we are thinking of either getting her a play kitchen or customizing a radio flyer trike.

  We asked for outside toys. We have enough indoors. He got a water table, picnic table, Wagon, sand toys, pool raft, sun hat etc. It worked out very well.

  Oma went with the Kushies Zolo Stacrobats, which is fine because it looks cute and like he will chew on it now and still play with it in a year.  And added bonus is that it was her idea, which I am sure makes it more special.  I took some of your suggestions for an Amazon wish list for the birthday party though, thanks all!
