Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

The last several St. Patty's Days I've had a tradition watching PS I Love You...

Also I have the day off because DS's DCP took a long weekend. Planning on going to a local Irish place for lunch for some shepard's pie and later tonight DH and I will knock back a Guiness. Cheers!

The kids had their traditional green breakfast. This year I did shamrock eggs (egg fried inside a sliced green pepper to look like a shamrock) on spinach with green tea and orange slices (gotta balance out the green with orange since we're Protestants

). The kids are all dressed in their orange and green and now we're busy trying to clean up the house. We're having a St. Paddy's Day party with some homeschool friends. The kids made decorations for the house yesterday. I planned a Pinteresty rainbow/leprechaun menu and some crafts. There will be ten kids age ten and under wrecking my house in a little over an hour. Someone hold me. I'll need some wine tonight!!

Adamwife, I love the shamrock eggs! Good luck with your party. It sounds like fun albeit crazy.

DD and I are wearing our green to the park. I will be drinking a beer tonight, but not Guinness. It'll be highland's oatmeal porter from NC, cause its better.

We'll just be wearing green. Nothing fancy here, either. Some Guiness does sound good, though, so maybe I'll pick some up on my way home :P

My last name starts with an "O'-- so clearly we get into St. Patrick's day! Oh and my husband is a Patrick, named after the Saint. I made little treats for DS' daycare pals and we are all wearing lots of green today!
