  Can they express their needs without crying- We're not there yet. We just started at 6 months and she's 7 months now. She reacts to the signs now.

  We are signed up for a class in April. We were told that if we started signing to her now we could expect her to start signing back in four months. Our LO is currently 4 months old.

  I haven't started yet but plan to.  My SIL does it with her boys and it is amazing!  It makes communication so much easier and her 2 year old sounds like a 5 year old.  She is also a speech pathologist so that probably has a lot to do with it as well.  But I am going to follow her lead and use "please," "thank you," "all done," and "more."
