I've been selling/giving away baby clothes and gear as we're done with it and a woman came by today to get our baby tub. She said "Oh, keep posting all your stuff - I'm right down the street and my son and daughter in law are probably going to start trying in the next year.

So this woman is gathering "supplies" for a baby these people aren't even trying to conceive yet. El oh el.

That sounds like my ILs who had their entire house decked out when I was about 6 months pregnant with Bradley. They had a crib, high chair, bouncer, swing and all the clothes and bibs he could need...when I asked why they had all this stuff, they said "just in case"...WTH?? Then they got all butt hurt I didn't want them in the hospital, I had to be sure they weren't going to try to off me!!

Also, they got all this stuff before we had any of it! Like they bought themselves a crib before we had one...oy

See, it's bizarre crap like this that gives harmlessly excited gparents a bad name lol My ILs have a crib, changing table and high chair and we love that we don't have to worry about that stuff but they damn well know that our kids are OUR kids and we plan the parties and all that stuff.

That is funny. I don't see my IL's often bc we live in different states but we are visiting and mil shows me a pic of her grand-nephew who turned one yr old, and his pic has "ONE" in big letters with him standing or sitting by them. She told me "I need this same picture of Kaelyn in a 5x7"... Then asked me if I had a target close by (where the boys pics were taken). I told her my sister will be taking her 1 yr pics since she is a photog and does it for free. Then she asked me if she had a "ONE" sign........ Sorry, but in what world do you get to choose the style of my baby's 1 yr pics? Now I'm brainstorming all the pics I can take that look nothing like his.

oh geez. lol. I'd go crazy if my mom or MIL did that.

I ended up getting some free girl clothing years before we started ttc DD from some cousins. About a trash bag full, and I bought a high chair that was 90% off (I got it for like 15$)-- again, years before we tried, and I think we might of been engaged at the time. DD used the clothing and still uses the highchair. Am I weird? lol

that is next weeks episode of TLC's My Strange Addiction lol. I saw one where a couple bought life size realistic sex dolls and would dress them up and take them out around town to take picsof them. Each one was named and they all were bathed frequently and got their hair brushed daily. It was freaking weird!
