Beachbody Ultimate Reset

Has anyone done it??

I'm trying to lose a few lbs before trying for our first baby and thought that this might be a good place to start.

TIA!

Re: Beachbody Ultimate Reset

  • Umm... hahaha, while I admire your desire for a sexy prenatal body, unless you are planning on getting a tummy tuck after delivery it is a little pointless! Go ahead, get in shape and make sure you are exercising a moderate amount, but realize that most women tend to lose several pounds when they first get pregnant, so it is a good idea to have a few extra pounds on your body to balance that out. I definitely recommend yoga and pilates as these are both things which you can do prior to and during pregnancy, with some changes to certain moves, and which will sculpt your body in a short amount of time and strengthen the muscle groups you will be needing for labor. Belly dancing is also fun and can let out your inner sexy Wink

  • Hi Tia! I personally was in your situation and did the UR, twice. MODIFIED! I would love to connect with you and answer ant questions if this is something your still curious about. :)

  • Good for you for wanting to lose a little before TTC - it makes everything so much easier!! The UR is a great tool but if you don't want to be that restrictive and want to do something you could maintain during pregnancy you might want to think about Shakeology (and a kickstarted eating clean diet plan like the Whole30 or something like that). Happy to answer any questions or chat about any of that :)
  • I know this post is old but I was googling and it came up, I actually got pregnant while doing the ultimate reset, I didn't know it obviously until a 2 weeks later, but I definitely think being that healthy really helped! It took us 6 months to get pregnant with our first. I had the same plan to be in the best health before trying to get pregnant but I ended up getting pregnant right away! I though for sure it would be at least a month before it would even be possible. I am not sure where you are at now, if you did the Ultimate Reset, if you are pregnant or still TTC! But I wish you the best of luck!! Message me if you have anymore questions!!

  • I'm actually starting next week but this is also the month we are TTC..... Thoughts? I'd be due with my period in day 21 of the reset....
  • Has anyone done this? Or does anyone know about the effects of doing the Ultimate Reset while breastfeeding?
  • I did the UR in Aug and we were allowed to start trying in Sept (I was on meds that had I had to be off for "x" months prior to trying) and we got PG on our first try (I don't think this was related to the UR, just coincidence ) My main focus was not on weight loss, but actually getting the toxins and previous medicine completely out of my system prior to having a little baby living and growing in there :) But I LOVED the UR and ended up losing 8 lbs and 9.5 inches (and honestly I was hoping I would lose 3 lbs and already ate clean and worked out). I'm looking forward to doing it again after the baby is here and I am strong enough to do it.
  • Hello ladies!! I Had forgotten I even made this post!!

Just in case you're curious, I never did the UR. Months later I did do the Whole 30, lost 20 lbs and got pregnant! Now were 24 weeks along expecting our first baby girl in march!

Good luck to you all in Health & TTC!

  • SimonsMomma I'm doing T25 at 27 weeks. I was really active before getting KU and a couple weeks ago I had to stop running because the belly was getting a little heavy but the modifier is perfect so I can keep going! good luck!

  • I know this is an OLD post, but for those who are still searching and curious, the Beachbody Ultimate Reset can be very helpful BEFORE trying to conceive. It has been proven to be helpful for those suffering from hormone issues, PCOS, and other situations that can interfere with conception, and we all want to be our healthiest for carrying a baby, obviously. As for the comment that it more or less doesn't matter how healthy and fit you are before your pregnancy unless you get a tummy tuck, this is very sad and negative thinking and completely untrue. It's also unnecessary to have "extra weight" before getting pregnant, nor do MOST women lose weight in early pregnancy, AND the Ultimate Reset is not *focused* on losing weight. Although it is a byproduct of the Reset, the Reset itself if about cleansing the body of toxins and helping people understand how great it feels to eat clean. Since it is a cleanse, as with ALL cleanses, it releases toxins into your bloodstream, so DO NOT do the Reset if you are pregnant, may be pregnant, or are actively trying to become pregnant.

Getting strong before getting pregnant is a great idea, thats what I did before my second. It made the pregnancy easier, pregnancy during exercise easier also. I also started the abs and pelvis muscle recovery program from postpregnancyrehab.com, BEFORE I had my second baby, and that made a huge difference with recovery afterwards, in fact, easier after my second, than my first.
