So DS had an ear infection end of Feb. He was on a 10 day antibiotic and within a week after the antibiotic he complained of his ear hurting again. So back to the dr we went, the ear infection never cleared. They put him on a 5 day antibiotic this time and today is day 6 and he woke up with fever and saying his ear hurt. :[ it would have been cleared by now right? Calling the dr in the morning just feel bad for my little man.

My dd had a 3 month long ear infection that went almost exactly like yours. Finally we were faced with the rocephin (sp) shot or nothing. We decided to take her off everything and see how it went as long as she wasn't complaining of pain and had no fever. 2 weeks later at her follow up it was gone, thankfully! Hopefully your little guy feels better soon!!

Aw man that sounds horrible! Your poor baby! So you did not end up getting the shot? I'll have to look that up now in case they bring it up soon.

  • We didn't, I have heard it is the most painful shot you can get and we felt like we had pumped her so full of antibiotics at that point anyways. Lots of vibes your little one starts feeling better and you won't have to even contemplate it :)
