C slept an hour later than usual. I feel awesome! She also didn't wake up at all last night. Pretty sure its because we gave her motrin for the teething. Love when she sleeps well, such a happier toddler greets us in the morning.

This afternoon we're driving down to see my parents, spend the night, and have Sunday lunch with the whole family. Its the first time I've seen my mom since she had her seizure and I am soooo excited.

I am vegging in bed. I have 3 cats all around me laying on my pregnancy pillow and if course touching me. I have my little old jack Russell between my legs.

I want to get up to eat but so hate to disrupt them.

Have to take everything out of the bathroom since we are gutting it today. New bathroom here we go!!!

We bought a new mattress/box spring, and I can't believe the difference! My old set was about 15 yrs old and apparently the box spring was so broken up that the delivery guys were commenting. I've slept SO well the past two nights, but have had to wake up early because of work, dd, or the dog (6:15 this am). I can't wait to go to bed again tonight!

MH decided last-minute yesterday that we'd drive up to Las Vegas for a weekend getaway! So my sunshine, despite not getting to booze it up on the strip, is that I'm waking up in a beautiful hotel with a lake view, I get to spend time with H, and we're seeing a very good friend later today for the first time in several months.

DH is at work til 7..my mom is watching DS & im at the nail salon getting a pedicure & manicure & then tonight we're going out to dinner for my best friends birthday! & to top it off we leave for Puerto Rico on Tuesday!! Pretty good saturday!

My sunshine is my kids sat on my bed watching cartoons keeping themselves entertained while I slept in, and didn't get into anything. My BIL was here and awake and when he left DS1 told me and I woke up, so they had adult supervision just not from me. Plus they've been sleeping in more lately even if they go to bed early.

And, my migraine is GONE! 5 days later after tears, hardly being able to sleep, see, be near light and barely tolerable of noise and its finally subsided, at least for now.

Also, I'm baking home made apple pies today for no reason at all, and baking a ham with a brown sugar and crushed pineapple glaze. Yum!

DH was working this morning so I took DD to the park. The day is crazy nice and she was super well-behaved. Then she came home and are all her vegetables and I'm currently sitting in the car with her waiting for her to wake up from a nap.

Then tonight she is sleeping at my parents' house and we are going out to dinner and to see Aziz Ansari. Super pumped

In the morning I'll try to sleep in then go get cappuccinos and croissants with DH

Yesterday a friend called DH and told him he had a question for him. Turns out this friend's job had an open position for a deisel mechanic. DH isn't a deisel mechanic but the boss wanted to talk to him anyway. Deisel techs get paid better than auto techs usually, and if this works out it would be a huge relief financially for us, and would more than likely allow me to be a full time SAHM (which he really would like for me to be able to do) instead of part time like the current plan is. This might be the opportunity DH has been hoping for. He's miserable at work and because other people can't do their jobs properly it hinders him from earning what he should be earning. He's got a job interview with this company on Monday. If he's offered the job at a salary that is good this could open up a whole new set of doors for him that he didn't think he could do.

Fx for you and YH! I have 2 diesel vehicles and looooove them. My DH didn't know anything about them and has learned so much just tinkering around. He's not a mechanic or anything so I'm sure YH will catch on quick

@sparkenshine_89 thanks! he's got over 7 years of auto technician experience, which is why the boss wanted to speak to him. So he knows his way around vehicles, he'd be working on tractor trailers, so everything is just on a bigger scale from what he's used to. I'm REALLLLLLLY hoping this works haha. I feel so bad when he comes home from work miserable and there's nothing I can really do except give him a hug and make him a nice dinner lol.

DH and I are going to try to score some last minute tickets to the Kings/Ducks game. If we can't get tickets to the game then we are going to go down to one of the restaurants near the Staples Center to watch. I'm excited to have a date night with DH just like the old days!

My mom came over early this morning and took DS for a bit. Hubby and I were able to 'have some fun' and even shower together. We went out for brunch then did a bit of fun shopping. It's been a wonderful morning.

She is going to come get DS again tomorrow morning as well. And likely next weekend too - she thinks I need to rest and is taking DS so hubby only has to focus on taking care of one person at a time.

That is awesome. My hubby felt her today. She is not kicking that hard yet so I always just feel flutters. Today this morning hubby had his hands on my belly and felt her. Was awesome for him to actually feel!!!

It rained today! Not very hard and it only lasted like 5 mins, but it rained!! It hasn't rained since the end of august so it was beyond refreshing. Hopefully it will help all this dust settle down.

My wonderful, marvelous, and fantastic hubby took me shopping today and I got preggo panties, a coordinating outfit for our toddler and her upcoming little sister, took me to On The Border AND Starbucks, then we rented a movie and brought home Subway AND just now he got out of bed and moved the furniture and pushed the bed up against the wall so I could line our couch cushions up in the corner so I could get comfortable enough to sleep. Best husband ever.

Fingers crossed for you! My husband was a diesel mech in the Marine Corps. When he got out, no one would hire him for that job because he had no CDL and no certification. So he went to a 2 year tech school and is in the International Dealership Association program. He is in class for 8 weeks then internship for 8 weeks. He still works while in school though. He makes $14.50 an hour in Mid-Missoiri. He graduates in May and we're hoping for a good raise once he's no longer an intern. Intern salaries are regulated so that each place is paying the same, it's not based on merit. The average around here is about $17-$18 hr to start.
A word of caution from a wife to a wife, be prepared for him to need some new tools. DH should have had a free GIBill sponsored education. He started out with a basic tool supply, good for our cars. He took out student loans to buy the bigger tools he needed otherwise the cost would have kicked our butts.

@embracingchange oh yes the tools! haha I'm ok with him buying the tools he needs for his job, so I know he'll need some bigger stuff if he gets the job. Luckily this friend is more than willing to share for a bit til DH gets where he needs to be tool wise...and any tools he buys for his career we can write off on taxes which is nice. If he gets this job paying for said tools won't be an issue! His friend doesnt have a CDL or diesel certification (but he grew up on a farm so fixing tractors and bigger engines he grew up with) but DH is going to tell them he's more than willing to get his CDL and certs down the line. I'm a big believer of things happening for a reason, DH wasn't looking for a new job, and when he was approached that's when he was like "maybe I need to do this".

On another note thanks to your DH for his service!

We went to a kids consignment sale this morning at our local fairgrounds and got a bunch of clothes for our little guy!!! Some of which still had the original tags on!! The sale ended today so it was 50% off so we got some of the clothes for as low as $1!!!!!! Now we are doing our first load of baby laundry!!!!

I used the Graco recalls as a bullshit reason to return the travel system I bought in November for one I like more. I sent DH to return it because I didn't have the receipt, just in case they made him carry it back out. Apparently the price changed...The gift card he brought back had $52 more on it than I paid. I don't feel the slightest bit bad because Walmart screws me often...sans lube. I went to BRU and got the one I want, with a coupon, and got the free Dr. Brown bottle and a sample bag of baby products. I also found an 80pk of BRU brand diapers for $7 on clearance so I'm happy.
