Haven't gone since I was in middle school. We were going to go for DS1'S 2nd birthday but it poured so we left once we got there. Hopefully can go this June for DS1'S 4th birthday when we visit my parents in Philly.
We are looking into going in July. Also going for the 2 day pass. We will be coming from Maine! Elijah loves Elmo and Cookie Monster so I think it will be fun for him.
We went late summer 2013, it was PACKED!!! The lines were insane for a 1 year old to wait in, we waited about 45 - 90 minutes for each ride. Parents are rude and try to push their way through crowds.
However, DS loved it, we saw Elmo's World live but 1 time was enough for us. We packed a lunch and left it in the car. They have a few areas to eat so you can pack a lunch and save some money.
ETA - sorry to be a Debbie Downer about Sesame, I just couldn't believe the lines for toddlers to wait in
I grew up 5 min away from there. We always had a season pass growing up so it's always been fun because we could come and go as we please so it never mattered if it was busy.
There was just an offer(exp march 16) for teachers from tri state area to get a FREE season pass with a valid teacher number. Our LO's are free until they turn 2, so free trip for me besides parking. I read on website they are opening a new cookie monster themed area this summer.
I grew up there and went 1-2 times a year. We took our older girls 2 years ago. It does get crowded on the summer weekends. They tend to busy a lot of people from NY out there. The crowds can be pushy and rude. We would go during the week. June was the best time, because it was warm enough for the water rides, but not all the schools were out. May can be could for the water. Personally I would wait until next summer when our LO are 2.5 than this year when they are 1.5 (unless they have older siblings).
Re: Sesame Place
I never went as a child. I went as an adolescent with my young cousin.
