X/P 9-10 month nursing strike

Anyone ever get past a nursing strike at this age? I guess it isn't a complete strike because she will still nurse at night and it the morning but won't nurse at all during the day. I've tried cutting back on the solids a bit. If I offer her bottle of expressed milk, she'll gulp it right down but she screams at the boob. I haven't nursed this long before so I'm not sure what to expect at this age. My supply is dipping a bit and I don't have time to try to pump during the day. Thanks!

My LO is almost 8 months and when she gets funny about midday nursings, I sit her up and let her look around the room, "talk" to me, etc., so she feels like she isn't missing anything. Then she'll sometimes go back to nursing. Propping one of my knees up behind the Boppy so she's sitting more upright at my boob, rather than laying down, can help, too. GL.
  • LO had a strike at 7 months, I thought he was self-weaning but it's actually quite rare that they would do that under 1 year. So I did as PP, rock him topless around the room. I also started using a BF necklace for him to play with while nursing.

I would say your LO is just distracted and she prefers to play and look around than nursing which is boring :P I guess with the bottle she can look around and feel part of the environment. I think you can get past this. ((hugs))
