Wonder week 55 sufferers unite!

DD has been acting like a bi-polar child lately, giggling one minute and throwing a tantrum the next! For the older babies on this board, how long did this phase last??

On a happier note, DD learned the sign for "all done." It's pretty adorable.

  • Ug, this is E to a T. One minute he's happier than a lark, the next he's headbutting the floor. *facepalm*

  • I'm not dealing with tantrums, just sleep disruptions. For the last two months she has been doing so well with sleep - great naps in the crib and STTN. For the last week and a half she's regressed back to waking up at 11:30 pm and not wanting to be in her crib through the night. I started pulling her back in bed with me and nursing her for comfort and I feel like we're back where we started again. :( She's also giving me terrible naps in her crib - no morning nap and 40 minutes in the afternoon, if we're lucky. But she'll sleep just fine if I'm holding her. I don't remember this phase with my other kids.

  • The crying/yelling/screaming and tantrums are getting pretty old. DS seemed a bit worse like a week or so ago, but he's not back to "normal" yet.

  • Ugh yes for the past week he has wanted to be held all day and screams every time I put him down or leave the room. He is always like that to an extent, but right now it's worse than ever! Please let this phase pass soon!

  • This is us right now, and I can't wait for week 55 to be over. A few nights ago, DS woke up every 30 min, no exaggeration. DH and I agreed that it felt as though we had regressed to the newborn period. On the other hand, DS is a lot more cuddly (when he isn't tantrum-y) and has more "skills" than before.

    So. Tired.
  • Ugh, we are here! DS hasn't had too many issues in the sleeping department (but I bet he will now that I said that!) but he's been SO CRANKY. He cries for me with arms outstretched - I pick him up - he squirms to get down - I put him down - he SCREAMS! What the heck? Totally hoping this passes soon, I miss my happy guy! Glad I'm not the only one :)
