Biters?

Anybody raised a biter previously, and how early can you tell if you have one?

My LO is constantly doing something that i can only describe as falling over on me with his mouth open and trying to maybe bite.

He's started doing it recently to my arms. He'll also do it to my shoulders and chest area through my shirt, and I don't BF so he's not looking for milk.

He's not frustrated when he does it. It just seems to hit his mind, and he'll do it.

LO only has two teeth, so not much damage can be done at this point. I can just imagine the coming months when angry parents get him banned from the church nursery because he's biting everyone though. Lol

Am I over thinking this or is he possibly showing signs already?

Re: Biters?

  • O bites too. My face, my hands, my shoulders, my clothes. Whatever he gets his mouth on.

  • I have a biter too. Not all the time but a few times a week at least. My arms a lot and shoulders. It freakin hurts! She also bites my husband and sister.
  • My LO bites anything he can. At this point with his teeth coming in I think he's just looking for relief. I think it's just a phase, I just always say no biting and give him something he can teeth on.

  • N also bites. Mostly my shoulder but he's bit my shin and a thin piece of skin on my neck. He's getting top teeth now and it hurts like hell!!

I mean everything goes in his mouth but he's done this for at least the last few months, he's always happy when he does it though so I never considered it biting really.
  • Mine just puts her open mouth on me, but doesn't bite. I think it's cute.
