You will have very little sense of shame or personal privacy once you have birthed a child in the hospital - and you won't care, because you grew and birthed a wonderful new life!
I was like that too! But like everyone says, it'll be the last thing on your mind! I was glad for the ones who attended my delivery to be there, never saw my mom cry (happy tears) so much, or SO almost passing out )
DS - March 9th 2014

I can be modest/shy when it comes to these things normally but I've found that since getting pregnant, the layers of modesty have gradually been stripped away. Things happen to your body that you can't control and they're not comfortable and they're not pretty. Labour and delivery is just one more layer of that. The doctors and nurses have seen it all, and I'm sure they've seen worse than whatever you're going to present (at least, that's what I keep telling myself!). In the moment, I think priorities will shift elsewhere and modesty will be the last thing on our minds.
If it'll make you feel better, book a wax or something so that you're not worried about what it looks like before you go. It won't make a difference to the medical team but if it will reduce your anxiety before going in, it's worth it!
The Drs and nurses see this stuff all the time and they won't see your vajay in the same way you do. To them its just another part of your body, no different to your ears or hands. They'll be so distracted by the thing coming out of it that they won't even think about commenting on your cooch. If you don't want members of your family to see, don't invite them into the delivery room. My H is the only person i'm having in the delivery room and he's seen it all anyway (considering he was the one who got me in this state).

Nobody else but him and the dr's/nurses were there.
The Drs/Nurses see it many many times a day. That's what they do.
