Peppers

Have any of you ladies done peppers for LO (the veggie, not the spice)? If you put them in a puree, what did you mix them with? If you did them as finger food, how did you serve them?

Re: Peppers

  • I gave Ty a raw bell pepper slice with dinner last night and he liked it. Today's poop was thick but normal and he didn't seem any gassier than usual. Although, his breath stunk!

  • I've given cooked bell peppers. They were cooked with ground turkey.

  • Bell pepper has been a staple for LO. He gets cut up raw strips nearly every day for one of his lunch vegetable options. Definitely see it come out the other end so he certainly eats them well enough!

  • I've given cooked peppers but I try to take the skin off. I give them in little chunks. K seems to like them!

Last weekend we were at a baby shower and there was a veggie tray with thin sliced peppers. I let O gnaw on a orange one. Didn't realize how many side eyes I would get from the old ladies on that one. They couldn't believe I let her have that. She enjoyed it.

Vegetables?! You gave your child vegetables?!  ;)

El, much prefers red/yellow/orange to the green bell peppers but both raw and cooked work for her. When we do cook them I just pan fry them with a touch of EVOO. Right now almost all veggies and fruit are being diced up bite size for her. She really likes just using her fingers and not her whole hand to eat right now, but that's probably just my weirdo.

    My weirdo too. ;)
