2nd Trimester

what is your #1 vain pregnancy worry???

No pun intended, but my number one worry that is so vain is getting varicose veins/spider veins when pregnant.  I have every intention of getting "rid" of them after baby number two, but they seriously bother me a lot since we have a strong family case of them.  Yuck.

What is your number 1 worry??

Re: what is your #1 vain pregnancy worry???

  • Being completely overweight and unhealthy after the baby is born. I realize that I have some control over this and that thing's wont be exactly the way they were before but still...it's a worry.

  • My worry is that I will blow up and look like a hippopotamus:( I haven't gained any weight yet, but my friend gained eighty pounds in her second and third trimester. I am still waiting on it to sneak up on me!
  • To go into labor extremly early.

  • gaining too much weight and not being able to get back to my pre-preg weight. I know I have control over what I eat and exercise. But I am afraid I won't have the time to workout like I used to when the baby comes.
  • Stretch marks.  Ew.  I have never really had them...I would rather gain a ton of weight and have to work really hard to get it off.  What do you do about stretch marks? Nothing.  Sad
  • having trouble loosing weight/getting back into shape after child... I'm afraid i'll have the "mom pouch."  *shudders*

  • Stretch marks.  Loss of muscle tone.  Extra skin in abdominal area.

  • Stretchmarks above my belly button. The skin below the belly button already looks ugly thanks to DS.
  • I have a couple worries. Varicose veins is definitely one of them. So is just being generally overweight and unhealthy. I really miss going to the gym 4 or 5 days a week, but my back has been WAY to screwed up to continue that routine. Hopefully I can pick it up again after baby is born. Oh, and I'd really like my boobs to NOT hang down to my belly button after bf'ing.

  • Like most, stretch marks and excess weight gain. I am doing fine w/ the weight and no stretch marks so far, thankfully. I get anxious thinking about being miserably hot this summer with a young baby, back to work full time, trying to lose the weight and being uncomfortable with nothing cute that fits. Ugh.
  • I don't worry about loose skin and stretch marks.  I had those before I ever got pg!  I worry about loss of bladder control.  That the Kegels I do aren't enough or won't work and I'm going to spend the rest of my life wetting myself.
  • That I will go into labor early or that the baby will have something wrong with him/her...I want a healthy baby. :)  (I also fear that I will get stretch marks too lol)

*Ooops, didn't see the vain part...Well, I fear stretch marks on my belly.  I want to be able to wear a two piece after baby. :)

To go into labor extremly early.

    That's not vain!

My biggest worry is gaining too much weight again. I gained 50 pounds with #1 and want SO badly NOT to let that happen again. Since the weight did not just drop off, I don't expect it to this time so I'd like to have a lot less to lose.

  • I have a couple. Streght marks and not being able to get rid of extra skin.
  • stretch marks and veins
  • Not being able to lose the weight like I did the last time.  I only gained 32lbs and my belly was really flat when I left the hospital.  I was back in pre-pregnancy jeans the day I got home.  I really don't want to keep all that weight in my mid section this time either!
  • me too on fear of the mom pouch.  I've always had a flat belly and a small wasit to balance out the fact that I have a big butt and chest. If I lose that then I'm just round....

Wow...I hope I have that kind of luck.  I'm thinking I may have a pretty decent time with it, my mom had 5 girls (over the course of years - 2 marriages)...but she always looked thin.  My niece (who is older than me) had her son and came home being smaller than she was pre-pregnancy.  Don't know how that happened, but give me what she got! :)

  • stretch marks

I didnt get any when I was pg with DS and I am getting bigger much faster this time.  So I am dreading the possibility.

  • too gain too much/not be able to lose it and for my boobs to be completely horrible and saggy!  I already let DH know (so he doesn't try to talk me out of it later) that once we are done havnig kids I am getting my breasts lifted back to where they belong!!!
  • I am more worried about leaking milk all over after the baby comes.  Haven't heard any tips on how to deal with this yet.

  • Not being able to return to my pre pregnancy weight.
  • Not seeing my feet due to gaining too much weight.

  • Having my vagina ripped to bits and never being able to have good sex again.  Weird I know.
  • Saggy droppy breasts.....after breast feeding.
  • Another weight vote here. I lost 35 pounds two years ago and have been on a low-carb/exercise 5 days a week plan ever since, and the combination of all the carbs I have been eating (because that is all I can stomach) and the fact that I am on pelvic rest (so no exercise) have my weight creeping up above what is advised. I worry that I'll have to start all over again. But it'll be worth it.

  • worried my boobies will look like flat pancakes after breast feeding.
  • Definitely stretch marks and loose belly skin...oh and my belly button looking all stretched out!
  • BIGGER FEET...  I went from a comfortable 8.5 to a 11 while pregnant..  After DS was born feet only went back to a 10....  There are no cute shoes in a size 10.  If this happens this time.. What size will I wear?  I will have to wear clown shoes for real...
  • My biggest fear is that I will gain too much weight during my pregnancy and I won't be able to lose it all after our beautiful baby boy is born.

  • This is my first and before I found out I was expecting, I didnt want kids because I was afraid my va-jay-jay wouldnt be the same...you know...it wont be tight as it has been...Tongue Tied
  • Still looking pregnant after the baby's been born.  I will be so embarassed if I'm asked when I'm due after I've already had the baby.
