★ Saturday/Sunday Daily Symptom Check-In ★

OK I'm starting this cos it's 4am and I need to get this off my chest so I can go back to seep.

We went out for diner for our 5 year wedding anniversary last night and I had a glass of prosecco to celebrate, which I drank over about an hour. It was my first glass of anything in 7 months.
On the way home I noticed my head felt slightly fuzzy (how I would normally feel after 2-3 glasses of prosecco). Thought it was weird but didn't worry too much as I had consumed it slowly with our meal and drunk water.

Now I'm up 4am with a dry mouth and a headache. I know a glass of wine is fine, especially in the third trimester but right now I feel like how I used to if I had a tiny bit much to drink and it's freaking me out.

Has anyone else experienced this?

  • What @nutmegs8‌ said. You are now a lightweight!

    Mine: effing insomnia.

  • Ugh, thanks for the head's up and hope you feel better asap. I don't want to drink and have another reason to feel crappy.

Zantac leaves a bit of a metallic/weird taste in my mouth, the heartburn is unbearable without it.

The antibiotics I'm on because I've been sick make me nauseous. My vitamins (all of them, even the gummies) do as well.

In fact, I'm nauseous this morning having taken nothing yet. WHY IS IT BACK?! I'm nearly to third tri and second tri was not the magical time I was promised! *whines*

  • @emilyh107‌ I am also anemic and am taking over the counter iron supplements in addition to my prenatal vitamin. My doctor recommended CVS brand slow release at 45 mg twice a day taken not with my vitamin. I take my vitamin at night so I do the iron supplements with breakfast and lunch since it makes me queasy if I take it without food.

Symptoms - tired, peeing a lot more, and waking up with a bloody nose. Blech.
  • My lovely anti contraction Meds are making me nauseous today. I may be calling my mom to come over and hang out while DH is at work tonight. Also to help with DS. Bleh!

Can't sleep like ever but I am so freakin tired.

Then whenever i do actually fall asleep I am woken up by either ds or my dog.

Also my legs have been hurting. Don't know what's up with that. I'm just all achy and sore like I pulled some muscles or something.

    I have a question...

So I have a history of an eating disorder, so this entire pregnancy we have been training my body to want food and to eat every few hours...

Well now it is that time to do my glucose test and I can't seem to go 12 hours without my bodyfreaking out thinking I am going back into starvation mode.. I plan to take my test wed but even last night I ate at 2:30am and woke up at 8am shaking a dizzy so I just scarfed a banana and an orgain trying to feel better...

    Anyone else experience this??
  • @nutmegs8 @elsa1688 thank you! I managed to get back to sleep for a few hrs and feel a lot better now. Nothing like a bit of 4am insomnia get your brain spinning, I had to really force myself to stop googling and go back to bed.

@SaraJoy00 A few years ago I would regularly experience shaking and dizziness if I went too long between meals. What helped was changing my diet to include more protein and good fats, and watching my carbs. It helped keep my blood sugar much more stable. Try including protein with every meal/snack. I love snacking on fruit but always have it with either greek yogurt or cottage cheese. Hope you feel better soon!

I had a fasting test and only needed to fast for 8 hours. Schedule your test for first thing in the morning. If you are really concerned, talk to your doctor. They may allow you to have a protein snack.

I would talk to your doctor about it. I'm sure he/she is aware of your situation and will be able to give you an idea of what to do or perhaps a different strategy for going about your GD test. I also agree with @kettlebabe‌ that you should maybe try to fill up on proteins if you do have to go the 8 hrs fasting to help keep you more full and less shaky. hope you figure something out that works for you!
  • With my glucose test I only had to fast 4 hours prior to the test. Ask your doctor what timeframe they would prefer you to fast before the test.

So I've had lots of fun symptoms this week: insomnia, crazy dreams when I do manage to sleep, trouble breathing, and all sorts of weird stomach pains.

However, since yesterday I've been running a low grade fever and swing between chills and sweating. I don't have any other cold/flu symptoms. I've had several headaches this week which is also not common. Should I be concerned? Nothing by itself is really worrisome, but the overall "off" feeling has me wondering.

Thanks everyone for your tips!! I will try and include more protein in the next couple days before my test hoping it works!!

She said she wants me to fast 12 hours before my test.
  • I feel like I have been kicked in the vagina. The pelvic bone/ pubic bone pain is crazy. Everything is swollen and hurts. Ouch. I feel extra whiney because of it.

  • First Braxton hicks contractions over here. Taking it easy the rest of the day and chugging water.
  • I'm feeling crummy today - either onset of a cold or flu - and feel like there have been decreased fetal movement today? Sort of less than consistent, off our schedule and not quite as active when moving about. Cause for concern, or can LO also feel crappy when I do?

I was wondering this same thing this week. I had a pretty bad cold M-Th this week and it definitely seemed like the baby was not as active when I was sick as it is when I'm feeling ok
I hate to think we're both concerned about the same thing, cause it's no fun - but it is kinda a relief that I'm not alone :) hope you're feeling better, btw!

  • Light lower abdominal/back aches all day, called L&D and they said to chug water and see if it gets better. It's starting to ease up so hopefully they were right and I was just dehydrated. Freaked me out though.
  • Oh my god the heartburn!!!! And I feel like this kid is trying to claw out through my cervix!!! Stabbing stabby stab pain!!! Dear god!

  • I've been doing pretty well sleeping at night, but the last couple of nights I've become incredibly uncomfortable. My lower back has been bothering me and my hips have started hurting at night. Last night I woke up at 2:30 and then at 5:30, both times just wishing it was morning already so I could get up.

  • can't breathe, can't sleep, back hurts, hips hurt... *insert obnoxious whine here*
  • Does anyone have a funky smelling vajayjay? Tmi I know
  • I cleaned out my SDs room today to make room for the baby... Went through a huge toy box, got rid of two garbage bag full of toys, took sheets off her bed, tried to move her bed and now I have intense pelvic pain... Anyone have any suggestions on how to alleviate it? So miserable I can barely move.
