Thoughts on having a headshot vs. no photo? Is it bad not having one? It seems weird to me, to invite judgment based on appearance before even meeting a person. I currently have no photo on mine. I will admit that it has more to do with not having an acceptable professional looking photo of myself to use.

    I agree that photos seem pretty standard. the only time I judge a photo is not based on appearance but appropriateness of photo for a professional site. Someone I know recently just added a photo and she is clearly on vacation or at the beach or something, wearing a spaghetti strap tank that could also be a bathing suit. I find that odd on a professional networking site, but whatever.

    I don't have mine up, but I've never used it for job hunting. I'd probably add one if I did. I think no photo is better than super casual, taken on the beach with a flower in your hair photos. Unless you work at the beach, of course.
