Oh neat! It's back!

Has anyone had nausea return in the second trimester? I had morning sickness up until week 14 and then I was golden. But now in week 21, it seems to be back. Not quite as bad and not all day, but I'm definitely feeling nausea and food aversions. No other symptoms so I don't think it's a GI bug or virus.

  • I felt nauseous today. My bff mentioned she did a few days this week too. I also about died after eating Wendy's and spicy chicken nuggets are my favorite.

  • I feel nauseous sometimes but it comes in waves and it's always right before I feel the baby move around or kick, it only lasts for a little bit not sure if she's pushing against stomach or what

  • Mine never went away. It has been much, much better the last few weeks but I don't think I can claim one 24 hr. period without some form of nausea.

  • Yep, for a couple weeks now. Usually in the morning, which is funny because in the first tri it was more night time sickness.

I can't have soda so in order to get my caffeine i'm drinking coffee. My body seems to have a love/hate relationship with it now though and half the time it makes me kinda nauseous.

  • Mine came back for about a month around 15 weeks. It wasn't the all day nausea like before, though. It was after every time I ate.

  • I did several weeks ago. It has since gone away :)
  • Yep! Mine finally stopped in week 15/16 and has now made another appearance in week 21. I hope it's a short stay for all of us.

I am nauseated most mornings still, but it's nothing compared to the first trimester.

  • Mine has never gone away. I have good days, and bad days. But I'm still struggling with it

Yes mine has been creeping around as well.
  • If I let myself get hungry, I feel it starting. Also, on the glorious days that my body allows me to poop, when I first feel like I have to go I feel a little sick. Once I go I'm fine!

  • Thankfully, I've lost the constipation symptom, but I have yet to be able to shake food aversion and nauseousness. Only thing that helps is staying full all day long. After this pregnancy, if I never see a ritz or saltine cracker again, I can die happy. :-)

I'm in the "it's never gone away" camp.  I have mildly nauseous days, severly nauseous days, and full on puking up everything that hits my stomach days (and I'm still on meds for my m/s).

  • Yes!  And it's so annoying.

Mine doesn't seem to have any pattern or triggering factors but has come back in the last couple weeks here and there.  Not nearly as bad but just uncomfortable.

  • I'm with the "it never went away" group as well. Boo. With my 3 DDs, I had it through delivery but I would have days where I felt sick in the morning and at night but ok during the day. With DS I still have it going strong and throughout the whole day. I have alot of food aversions as well which is so different but I keep my tummy full because of meds I have to be on and it prevents vomiting all day long. I can't believe some women never got morning sickness at all!
