DS just had his surgery

I am so relieved. We scheduled this over 5 months ago. I no longer have to think about it. He had to have strabimus surgery. FYI, he spent most of hid time flirting with his nurses As shown below .

  • He has been sleeping ever since they brought him back to us. He was fussy at first, but it was most likely just disorientation. Per the doctor, he won't really expierence much pain .
  • So glad he is doing well! And glad it's over for you. :)

  • My 4 year old had that done last summer.  Once the drugs got out of his system he was good as new.  About 4 hours after surgery you would have never known he had surgery.  He slept most of the time until then.  Our youngest is having a surgery in Sept and I know the feeling of getting that weight lifted off your shoulders.  We've know since he was a few days old that it was coming and I just want it done and be able to move on.

I work for an ophthalmologist, so I have seen many eye surgery videos. It is a bit unnerving at first.

Once we got home, he acted like nothing happened, he played an ran around all afternoon.
And thanks everyone. I thou the gown was adorable. And the baby hospital socks are going to come in handy. He always slips on our tile
  • Glad y'all got that over with and that he's doing so well :)  What a brave kid!
