Horrible gas post 2-month vaccinations

My LO had his vaccinations on Monday. He has reflux and is on zantac - things were feeling roughly under control in the gas department until the day after his vaccinations. Since that time he has had awful painful gas. Has this happened to anyone or do you think it is just coincidence? I read about the rotavirus vaccine causing this in some children. It is pretty extreme. I called the doctor today and the best she could tell me to do is increase the zantac to 3 times a day thinking it is his reflux. The crying and pain just seems more extreme than it was even well before we started the zantac. I hate to see him in so much pain.

    Ours got his first shots last month and had an upset tummy and was gassier than normal for about 2 days. We used extra gas drops and a whole lots of extra loving to make him and us feel better.

    If it persist after a few days, call the pedi back.
    Proud 40 year old, first time daddy!

    Sounds like coincidence, but the first round can have tummy upset/diarrhea.
