Finally have my follow up appointment at noon (eastern) with my OB (well, one of the OBs in the office, but it's the same one I saw last week before heading over to L&D) - really anxious to learn more, see how my 24 hour UA went, see what she says are my chances of making it to term, likelihood of bedrest, etc.
On a positive (?), DH, who normally cannot take off of work for my appointments, has strep, so he's home from work another day, so I'm trying to get him to go with me (just because of the nature of the news of this particular appointment - I'm totally fine going to my appointments on my own).
@chickpea912 good luck hope all is ok! I have a 2 hour glucose test at 8 am central! Eeek! I don't know why my doc does 2 hr! Bad news is I am STARVING and a bit nauseous so this won't be fun My sister came to visit me and I'm dragging her to the doc w me...is that wrong? Lol
Update: The RLP that I have been dealing with may actually be a pulled groin muscle that likely won't heal until after delivery, awesome. At least I passed my glucose test. Then she couldn't tell if Baby Girl's heart was skipping a beat with the Doppler, so I had an unexpected u/s, and luckily all is well and we got an extra peek at our LO that DH could come to since he missed the others because of work.
@chickpea912 - good luck!! fingers crossed for a good appointment.
Good Luck to everyone else who has appointments today!
I have a consult with the colo-rectal surgeon at 2:30pm EST. This is to confirm that best / safest option for delivery is c-section. I'm also glad I have the appointment because I've had severe tenderness in the area where my cyst is and I've been scared that it's the onset of infection. Fingers crossed there is no infection (dealing with that means sponge-baths and washing my hair in the sink, along with not being able to sit down).
How are you supposed to, or how did you feel after your glucose test? I was a little light-headed, but I usually am after a blood draw. Other than being bored, I mostly felt thirsty, oh and like I don't want to eat sugar for the rest of my life (or at least a couple of hours).

Got a call this morning that my OB had to go in to surgery, so my appointment was moved up and I met with the PA. The best part was that I forgot to take my bp meds until I got to the appointment (about two hours after I normally take them), so I wasn't at all surprised when my bp came back at 160/90. They took it again before I left, and it was lower - 152/87 or something, I think.
Luckily, there was no protein in the sample I left today (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and the PA that I met with said one of the other OBs signed off on my 24 hour UA from Tuesday, so I guess the protein situation is currently under control. I'm going back in tomorrow to retake my bp (not going to forget my meds this time), and making an appointment for another 1 hr GTT (I took one back at 20 weeks b/c my dad has diabetes).
I ended up having DH stay home - while it was gorgeous and in the 60s here yesterday, it was 25 this morning, and with him sick (and honestly, he seems like he is a mess), I didn't think it was the greatest idea for him to go out. This was the best decision, as my appointment ended up being super quick, and since it was with the PA, I didn't bother to ask any questions about the likelihood of me ended up on bedrest or with pre-e or any of that.
It's been a crazy week, so I've just been lurking a lot - trying to jump back into the action! Had my 28 week appt today. All is mostly well, just going to schedule another f/up ultrasound to make sure there were not changes to the baby's brain over the last 7ish weeks. Can't believe there are only 12 or so weeks to go!
Started my bi weekly appointments today! She said my 2 hour GGT test was completely normal, my fundal height measuring 30cm. She thinks he has some longs based on measurement on fundal and ultrasounds. My BP was 110/60. I gained three pounds which makes my total for this pregnancy so far is 5 pounds she also thinks he is head down!!! It's starting to feel more real... He also kicked her when she was just getting his FHR (which was in the 150s) it was so funny... I'm so in love with my little man. What an experience this has been so far... Ahhhh!
Also, does anyone else have experience with the progesterone suppositories? I've taken it orally, but never vaginally. Any info/tips?
Not sure I quoted right but I had progesterone suppositories from 21-36 weeks in my last pregnancy. Insert them at night before bed bc they will melt and leak out GL
Re: Thursday Appointments
But tonight we are touring the maternity ward at the hospital so that should be interesting and (hopefully) informative
